The keys at the bottom are really ugly and the 3,5 at the top center is really "Nokiaish", why put it in the center and not on the left or right side? Who wants a cable sticking out from the top center of the phone? It's like the idiot move putting the huge fastport connector on the left side on "recent" phones...

The 3.5 jack should be either on left or right side of the top or preferably on the bottom side of the phone.
Top or bottom don't really matter but not on center...

Jeez that seems a bit pedantic. It's the placement of a 3.5mm jack... I couldn't see anyone deciding not to get this over such a minor detail.

Well, I won't buy it just because the placement of the jack. I haven't bought any with the port on the left side either just because of the stupid placement of the fastport ;]
I simply can't hold the phone with the port there or fit the phone in my pockets in a simple way...

It's not pedantic, and if you stop a second and think about it, in life, it's all about taste and the details :]

Think about this, how will you hold this device if you are left handed and want to watch a video on the go?
See, kinda stupid with jack in the middle ;]

Yeah but no matter where they put the jack, it's going to be uncomfortable or different for somebody.

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG with the jack's placement, why? Because most recent 3rd party highquality audio headset manufacturers like Sennheiser make the headphones bend just before the 3.5mm pin , so when sitting in a 3.5mm jack your headphones run horizontaly for a few mm then go up or down depending how you're holding the phone, so now when you're Sennheisers are plugged in, you can swing them in ANYWAY you want to be comfortable in your pocket, rather than when the jack is located at the left or right. Even the W995 has it in the middle, very smart IMO.

AFAIK, bluetooth headphones dont offer the same highquality as wired, and also using BT headset for long periods will surely drain the battery a lot faster than when using wired.

"ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG" typing that in caps don't make it right, not for me at least

Also, I have the Sennheiser cx 300 II on my iPod but I don't like them on the w995...

And me too!

Seriously, I don't think it's such a deal breaker. It would be an entirely another story if they decide to cut the 3.5mm jack short...

The 3.5mm jack is nothing to be b******* about whereas the price of this thing definitely deserves to be b****ed about.

Wish they made the back more interesting, especially the camera with no lens cover.

Not with less than 6hrs of pure full volume audio playback; not to mention repeated FFWD/RWD's and track switching. Also I want TV-OUT with 720p format with 30fps with NO degradation of Audio (AAC @ 128kbps or M4A @ 160kbps).

Now we need not just the UI but I want an User augmented text entry & prediction system VERY similar to AutoText on BlackBerry. I don't want to touch and pet by swiping my phone - it must live also as my work device for function over form. If it can marry these two then I'll have 2 SE devices before this year is out.

I've been waiting for a nicely designed hardware to consider Android: Samsung i7500 was my first look, now I have Rachael. I just hope this is the most beautiful Rachael I see - I've seen only VERY ugly ones in real life.
