A week ago I updated my w995 and got R1HA036 on it - only to find out that there was a sync error when syncronizing with Outlook - it deleted all email contacts when copying from phone.

Three days later I tried if there was any new update, and so it was!!! I installed it .... only to see it was back to R1HA035????

How can that happen?

@mange69
The same thing happened to me last week. I changed many CDAs in order to get R1HA036. Actually i wanted to update my w995 from R1FA035 to R1Ha036 but SEUS kept on installing R1HA035 instead of '---036'. Even after flashing R1Ha036 with a2uploader, SEUS was showing "new update available". And of course it was R1HA035.
So conclusion is that ---035 is the latest one. [addsig]

My Wi-Fi has died 2 month ago. I can turn it on, but it doesn't find any network. When I start the phone the Wi-Fi starts by it self. 2 reinstallations, but no success. I will hand it in for service, but I will wait for the X10 so I don't have to use my old T39 while my W995 is away.

I noticed that my mac-address is 00-00-00-00-00-00 when I check it under Wi-Fi. Stange! Has my wireless card crashed?

mine too about a week ago. going to debrand my FW to fa035 in the future if i don't figure out to make my wifi work again. maybe it's in the firmware. mine from fa035 has a very smooth wifi connection. when updated to ga026 i encountered problems. maybe i'll upgrade first to ha036 before going to fa035.

Is it possible to take the software off one phone and put on another. For instance my partners w995 has a good version of the software but my w995 has a different version. Can I copy my partners software and put it on mine.

Thanks,

^^ The latest firmware (at least in my area) is R1HA036.
^ You can't copy the firmware from phone to phone, just update your phone to latest firmware.

Does anyone know if W995 firmware will be updated in the future or has SE stopped supporting it?

I'm planning on changing my phone soon and even though it's been released more than a year back, I'm thinking of going for the W995. I would like all your opinions on whether it is still a good phone to buy. I haven't been really impressed with any of the other feature phones by Sony Ericsson.
When was the last firmware update released? Have they stopped releasing updates?

Your feedback will be appreciated!

The w995 is still a great phone. Great camera, UI, musicplayer and more. I have the latest FW R1HA036 and have no issues with the phone. I would recommend it to anybody not needing a smartphone. I also have the x10 but I use the w995 as much as the xperia
