Tried it here on C902, file was no longer on the phone after booting the phone up. No threaded sms here too.

(this is my 500th post!)

Congrats on the 500th post dude , hopefully code will come up with a answer for our dilemma.

would be good to get this option though to use the threaded sms style chat.
shame sony wont roll out support for exsistin A200 handsets.

SE should just add it to all possible phones, this makes messaging look a whole lot better

I think esato messed up the xml code, I've sort of fixed it and uploaded a working xml here. The only thing here, I don't get threaded sms inbox/outbox/view options anywhere, but I do get a new screen when I create sms, see image.

If anyone else with a C702 or any other phone for that matter wants to give the xml a try please do so and report back here.

My local forum boys (who know their way around .xml) say that the convo view has to be in a phone's firmware if we want to enable it using scripts. Older phones like C702 and C902 (db3150) don't have it in the firmware so we can only get the new style message editor screen.

Aha, that explains it. I doubt SE will put any new features in the C902/C702 firmwares, it's not their style to give features to an old customer, they prefer you buy a new phone.
