C510 will never shot nice picture at night |

of course K800 and c510 sensors are different tha's why it performs differently in low light conditions  but the obvious thing with c510 is that LED is not synchronized by firmware properly and that has nothing to do with the hardware...it's just wrong code written by SE developers for the LED performance and this can be/could be sorted out by changing the functions in the code to the proper ones. Also Twilight mode can be improved as well..and sharpness added to the day shots...and this all has to do with the camdriver thus there's lot's of things still to improve for this camera and i know it can perform way better..but unfortunately there's no one who's willing to do this  |

you can do this  edit with text editor camdriver0.dat and look you can try and try and get even better camdriver than Code.
in code camdriver v2.2 annoys my one thing - missfired sound between shoting pic and real shot, and pics are blured or moved. you must wait realy long in mid light to be sure than pic is good |

Does anybody know how to change setting in the camdriver0.dat file? I want to mod it, but i'm not really sure of what any of those things really mean actually.
I've noticed this:
This is the driver from the 035:
which gives me a rough idea of what most of the lines mean, but doesn't give much description or options on how to change them.

Thanks a lot mate
I don't know if he is still working on this C510 though.
It's really bugging me how dark photos look like, and also how flash is much different between photo mode (brighter, stronger) and video mode (weaker) (Why SE just couldn't set it up for brighter LED in both modes in the first place??)
I must say, pictures on my ex Z750 just look so much better, composed (specially at night); mind you, the Z750 had an Aperture size of F3.0 and the C510 has F3.2.

he's not working on it anymore as he's got much better phone which camera doesn't have any of the problems that c510 has  but probably he still has all the code lines and all the info that could be very useful to you if you decide to continue his work...problem was that he never had proper c510 tester so he couldn't adjust the code properly as it's different from his c702 which he had...BUT you have c510 and if you decide to make some improvements to the camdriver then i'm sure that people on this thread would be more than willing to try it |
