My usage on o2 ranges from 19MB to 298MB - but usually around 200MB. Never had a text from them complaining.

Anyway, the main problem with o2 is it is slow and unreliable

Putting me off now, was going to get a C905 with unlimited internet for £20, but if it's that restricted then I'll be tempted to go with another provider, especially as I'm binded to them for 18 months.

I'm pretty sure i read somewhere on there site it was 3gig , anyways i use google maps & download stuff , check my emails , browse sites in full desktop, i left google maps running on a 3hour journey down motorways must have used loads of data, if 3 UK cut off my internet like 02 then i will switch to another network. But so far i find 3UK's service very good and have had no problems.

It's a £35 pm contract that the nice people of retentions have cut down to £20 for me to make sure I stay with O2.

But when i was on O2 pay and go customer services actually said its 500mb limit. And its also what i read its the 7.50 per month web bolt on. If its 500mb for pay and go then surely its the same for post pay? Customer services told me cos i went only once over the limit. James should know we have had may discussions on this. 250mb was the old limit those terms must be out of date that your reading. Also when i went over that 500mb limit the once i never recieved a warning text my credit just vanished

These are not terms I am reading. This is confirmation from O2 via email TODAY......so must be right....right?

Might just ask for your offer, will drop down to the Renoir or W705 but I'm not all that bothered, it's mainly just the net that I'll loose as I won't be using many mins/texts anyway.
How did you get web on that deal though? I've been told if you start on any tarrif less than £35 a month then an extra £7.50 a month will have to be added on for it?

Just what they offered me. Plus I got the 02 to 02 calls bolt on too! Great deal, however the main point of upgrading was to have 'unlimited' net or at least one with a decent limit (I thought it was 2GB).

My deal....

400 Mins to any network
1000 Text
"Unlimted Net"
Unlimted O2 to O2 calls
Nokia 5800 Xpressmusic 8GB Red
£15 per month

Grr, why didn't they offer ME that

Will ring again in a second probably seeing if I can get that with a Renoir (free on a £30 p/m contract too) with those other options.

@dupfold

On Pay Monthly, it's unlimited, as in just that.
The contract Internet bolt-on became properly unlimited when the iPhone came about. There used to be a 3GB limit with it, but Apple said to O2 they need to remove it or else they can't sell it anymore, so they did, and it filtered down to all contract customers.

Don't cancel your contract because you think it's 250MB, it's not, ignore anyone who says it is.

Yes, I've confirmed today there's a limit on pay as you go, but NOT on contract.
My opinions on this forum are that of my own and not of the company I work for.

Cheers Daedalus, heard that it was just the iPhones on their special tarrifs that had truly unlimited web, but obviously not then.
Will be ordering later tonight.

I'd love to believe that but how can I ignore the email I received today from O2 confirming that my 'unlimited' net (on my pay monthly contract) is limited to 250MB?
