hello guys.. I read on net:
- C901 - 5 Mp - Samsung Techwin.
- U100-Yari - 5Mp - Samsung Techwin - 1212-0592. Second Cam: Foxconn - 1200-0117_FRIDA_R13 & OmniVision - OV6680

Is it possible that they have the same camera module? o_O
I do not think so..
what is your opinion?

I remember when everyone argued about that, lol. But if photos are good and the camera driver format is the same for everyone it doesn't matter. It might be a different version from Sony...

I found another camera trick this time for continuous zooming without having to hold the +/- button for ages
im thinking could be useful trick for raiders drivers

1. Start camera
2. Start Zooming in, hold your finger on zoom key
3. Simply press key 6 whilst zooming (scenes)
4. When scene options come up stop holding down zoom key and stop pressing key 6
5. Enjoy watching camera zoom by itself

Same method can be used when zooming in and when zooming out...

Done, it works too

Another, 'trick' (not really a trick but i didnt know of it) is to take a picture, then during preview you can half press the shutter button and it will take you back 2 camera, nothing special but feels better than pressing back key or selecting "no preview" in settings

I like trick with zoom, it's really good for functions with 60 steps! +1 for mriley

second trick refers to every screen which is not realtime camera view at top, so you can use the camera key to leave in camera menu too

Glad you liked it, if its useful you could include it as a tip when you release first version of supermode driver

I take it you know the other trick of how to enable flash in all scenes?

I bring up my old post about fitting a 8mp camera into the C901 and make the screen 16:9 to shoot 6mp photos with "bigger screen".

Old one:
Length 105mm
Width 45mm
Thickness 13mm

New one:
Length 120mm
Width 45mm
Thickness 13mm

Old one:
Screen 2,2"
Resolution 240x320 pixels

New one:
Screen 2,7"
Resolution 240x426 or 360x640 pixels

Its not to my taste, how come you want three more mega-pixels? If it was 8MP people would think it was a good camera and could sell it for double the price

Hmm, no, not my taste either I'm happy it is as it is, cause that hight-width ratio looks really weird. Bit like LG BL40 but without the 21:9

It's not that the phone needs 8mp but most people think that the screen could be a bit bigger so you can see the photo quality better. And for that to happen we need a bigger screen, easiest way is to make it 16:9 and be able to take 16:9 photos. SE don't offer 6mp cameras but in the Aino and other 8mp cameras you can take 6mp photos in 16:9.
