i like the design but the plastics and chrome look really cheap, really noticeable looking at the back of the black one

That blue keypad on the white one looks really really bad, it's WAY too blue, kinda hurts my eyes. SE gotta change that. Also the materials and colors were a pretty bad choice. the appearance will look 20x better if they swapped out the tacky glossy plastic for brushed aluminum. anybody agree?

Yeah I agree. Brushed aluminium, or at the very least, matte plastic. So many manufacturers are moving away from the glossy plastics now.

how then explain xenon in C901? it's also mid-end phone, xenon price is ~10$, hardware size can be real issue but does not C9xx Cyber-shot deserved for xenon? SE should give us new MXE-60

looking at the size of the xenon flash module on c901 it just look too small....it makes me wonder what is the capacitor used in the phone for storing charge for the flash.... or whatever it is really driving the xenon module...sorry i am not expect in all the hardware but really....having a xenon but minus LED torch....then you can do video shot.

I have owned a P1 for many months and I do feel it is either SE have one phone that have both LED (2x) plus xenon....else put LED is enough. Xenon alone don't make it convenient.

and talking about 5mpx....I really don't see a point of having 8mpx.... for C903....as it is a mid tier product....normal user will be someone who don't visit ESATO and post message everyday here...they buy what they feel justify their budget on style and features that is acceptable.

I am not sure what SE marketing research lead them but 2.4in with 5mpx plus a Sony T series look alike back cover do have the ability to draw it.

of course if the material used is able to be same as Sony T series with glossy aluminum or metal...it will be better but due to all the RF issue...it have to be glossy plastic...hopefully soon we see a T700 look a like with matte/ brush aluminum feel.

C903 now resemble the T30 I owned.

Now I understand the C903 has no front camera for video conferencing, using only the main camera.

C903a the American version if you have front camera

not that weird?

its weird b/c there isnt video calling in the US. But then again, there is in Canada, and in Canada, Rogers actually has video calling, the 3g phones they get, they have the 2nd camera, while the same model for ATT does not have the inner cam. Example would be z750a/i

Can anyone confirm if this is the same OS as the C905 or is it an updated version?

I really like this phone, I think it will sell loads and the camera side is quite nice, especially the blue version.

From GSMArena's review:

To sum up, at this stage the Sony Ericsson C903 outputs an identical image quality to Sony Ericsson C902. We expected at least a little improvement but it looks like the lens, the processing logic and the image sensor used are the same as in the C902. We have seen what Sony Ericsson are capable of with the superb image quality of the C905 camera, and we hoped to see at least a bit of its glory here in the C903 too.

Seems like they were on the right foot with C905 but then went backwards for C903 in terms of image quality.

yap.. as said before.. a new breed of MXE will make this one great...

especially with the new location of the fast port.

--- edit ---

welps... i was wrong about the fast port.. it was under the cam if ever we would put on an MXE for that...
