got it already... "media transfer" option wont allow you to drop .thm files on the themes folder.. what i did was set the phone to "mass media" mode and I was able to successfully add the new themes... |

Hi guys, i would like to ask,regarding my c510's software,i'm not sure if its current, i have R1FA035, i've noticed it lags when opening my pre-installed apps..plus when opening picture gallery,its really slow..hope someone can help me with this..i'm just new with this phone..thanks!

Are your pictures stored on memory card or on phone storage memory? If on phone storage how much memory do you have and also how many apps do you have running when trying to open up pics?

My pictures are stored on my memory card which is 1gb..still has 900plus mb..my phone is new..just bought it the other day,my pre-installed apps are 6 only, you know, facebook,youtube,accuweather..etc..do you think its with the memory card?coz, when i purchase it, no card included, i purchase it separately..

hmm.. i currently don't have a memory card on my c510 (don't have budget yet) but so far I never encountered lags on the default theme which is clarity. I notice that some bundled themes makes the flash menu sluggish. Try to use the "clarity" theme if gives you a faster access to menus or photo gallery. As for the pre-installed apps being slow, i never encountered it on my end.
Currently im using a "greenheart" theme which i downloaded from the net. So far, its far faster for me than some of the prebundled flash themes... |

I also noticed that, i think the themes are very heavy for the phone.. I also tried "clarity" theme and your right..its a bit fast compared to other themes..when i used "ray" wow! Its really slow..effects are too much..

yup, better stay away from flash themes, plus themes like that seems to drain battery faster, so better to have a simple, fast, easy to navigate themes than stick with those flashy ones that makes the phone sluggish and drain battery. If you like, you can keep the "ray" theme but set the "main menu layout" to "grid" instead of "from theme", in that way you get the simple grid layout which is faster.
In the end, its only an eye-candy, for me nothing beats a simple themes. |

@dmist24, your right i also use the rotation aside from grid...also quite fast...how about your camera? how's the night shot?mine is greenish... |

Correct me if I'm wrong, but was there not some function in the File Browser/Media Browser in the phone (when looking at the M2 card) that allows you to rebuilt shortcuts or some obscure name (similar)????
Something to do with rebuilding the database (clear today's shortcuts, this weeks, this months for like 4 entries??)
This menu to which I refer is not a commonly used menu and usually is ignored. I recall using it on my former K850i (to be honest its the first  phone that I noticed having it).

guys, how do you open up the m2 memory card slot cover on C510? Mine is quite new so I find it hard to open the cover. I might break it if I tend to force it... Is there a proper way to open it smoothly? Until now I find it hard to open it.. |

yup, looks greenish and gives a bad/worse photo when taking shots at night.. my W800i works better than this one. Nevertheless I don't care about night shots as I don't really expect much from a budget cybershot phone. All I'm after is the torchlight/LED thing for power outages.. hehee.. Anyways, still nothing beats a digital camera for night shots (even digicam suffers from night shots) |
