I am pretty sure, this is about the best a nail sized lens can do. It will be interesting to see how a higher mp pixel sensor can increase the pic/lens quality. I think 3.2mp is just about right for the lens size/quality a cell phone has those days. Anything above that and the sensor is overkill. Anything under and the sensor is the weak link. I expect next year to see 12 - 15mp sensors. The question is, will the picture really be 5x better then a 3mp? I very much doubt it. From now on I personaly don't bother about pixel count. However lens quality is the 'joker' card when it comes to pic quality in a cell phone. Karl Zeiss better deliver in 2010, otherwise not even a 20mp cell will impress me

HTC ! ! ! What are you talking about? As far as I know, Nokia never sold a s60 licence to HTC. (Or should I say - HTC and SE for that matter, could not afford one) Windows Mobile is not a contender - what I am concerned. For the past few years, s60 rules. Is the operating systems of choice. All the others are pretty much irelevant. Only windows pc version, has sold more - not by much though. On the other hand you are right with Samsung. My only gripe with them is the bad after-sales customer service. As much as I hate to admit, all in all, the n97 is the best package for now.

It doesn't have to be S60 to be a competitor. Nokia has to market the N97 to all sorts of people, which includes WinMo, iPhone, Android, and WebOS users. |

You are in for some serious disappointment over the next few years.

I won't be getting the n97 by the looks of things, as it just to expensive. Vodafone want £200 for it on my staff account! Has nobody told Nokia and Vodafone about the recession.
