iphone was announced way before its launch. Any complains about that?

yeah but even now nothing compares to its interface. X1 is your usual WM phone with some gimmicky UI changes. That is nothing new, Samsung already beat SE to it with omnia and HTC with their touch interface.
Initially X1 had a WOW factor because there was no Omnia and there was no new HTC phone

Other than camera this phone cannot compare with X1. and yes they must not be compared at all as its not even a smartphone. the design is not fresh as well - it looks like a cheaper version of X1. especially that its marketed as fashion device.

come on mate,ppl here can surely compare c905 and innov8..

But those two are aimed at the same market. The X1 and Prada II are different ends of the scale altogether.

@qvga,
Omnia beat x1i? In what way?
Touch flo and Panels are totally different, and i personally would go for panels as my choice, since after using touch flo, i do know its limitations when using it as in real life.
Touch flo is mostly what the UI of g900i(or u could say g900i's ui was a copy of it, whatever makes you happier) is.

Iphone, is a fashion statement, not credited for usability, so if your basically here, you must have passed on it already.

Marty is right!

@ Marty
Is the second part of yout alias named after the rumoured new burger from McDonalds? -Sorry, I hate McDonalds.

Back on Topic,

The X1 is a completely different phone! When have LG ever made a smartphone? I can pretty much guarantee they have mixed the software and style of the LG KS360 with the Prada 1 and slapped a Prada badge back on it. Apart from the adition of 3g (vid calling camera in pic?) I bet it isnt any different. Buying something with a label like this means you only want to call and txt anyways and care more about the people that see you with it than actually getting something with features. Anyhow, it will be "So last season" in 2 months anyways.

You dont get it do you? Toucn Flo, Widgets in Omnia and X panels are identical as far marketing is converned. These are the selling points of these devices. Without the X panels, X1 is just a big bulky WM device which we have quite a lot of already.

LG Prada II can also recording in 720 x 480 pixels with 30 FPS.

That's pretty amazing for a designer phone, I must admit

No they are not different. They just aim to bring the dead windows UI to life. Thats their entire point.

Your right, their aim is to get windows UI more friendly and bring it to life,
But, Their concepts are different, and thats why, i dont think omnia's widgets do beat x1's panels.

Also while X1 is aimed for US, it isnt entirely late, becuz i think Omnia isnt released in US yet.

@C905,

'LG today launch the LG KF900 Prada or more commonly known as Prada II. They have also taken the opportunity to announce a Bluetooth wrist watch, which matches the fashionable handset and re-affirms its high-tech status.

There isn't much new stuff about the LG KF900 Prada itself that you haven't heard of already except maybe the fact that it's equipped with a capacitive touchscreen display that will support multi-touch functionality.

As much as some of you despise the iPhone it still remains the sole mainstream mobile phone to-date that offers multi-touch functionality. So as it seems the LG KF900 Prada will be the first to follow.

The multi-touch functionality of the LG KF900 Prada will be available in the image viewer, web browser, or document viewer.

Beside the launch of the handset, LG and PRADA also revealed a cool fashionable accessory called 'PRADA Link' (LG-LBA-T950). It's an elegant digital wristwatch, which actually is a Bluetooth device that can remotely monitor phone calls as well as allow you to read full SMS text messages. On top of that, the timepiece is water resistant, so you can keep track of your calls and messages while taking a bath or resting in the pool.'
