Its rumoured that the phone will boast of a touch screen interface with a design similar to Nokia's Tube. It will be based on S60 with Symbian OS 9.4 version.
So its goodbye UIQ.

I thought the motive is to let the other manufacturer know that SE is building 12MP phone.
So they could prepare to develop 12MP phone and live up to the competition.
If this isn't leaked, maybe Nokia, Samsung and LG could develop 10MP instead. IMO, when this Kokura announced later, it wouldn't be a surprise to other manufacturer. Bad for SE, good for other manufacturer

I think 5mp is very good for a home user, like me.

Since Kokura is the name of a Japanese place, it could be that  is taking a previously unknown Japanese-only prototype and prepare it for the international market. But 12MP just sounds too much, actually...and not in a good sense. |
