My K850i has suddenly stopped working.

The phone will not turn on and all I get when I charge it is a red light under the power button.

I've tried swapping batteries, and leaving it overnight and it still isn't working.

Can anyone help/advise?

Thanks

Try to use SEUS update.

Every phone has bugs... Nothing is perfect. Especially the first and oldest firmwares...

So to repair the phone you have to use SEUS or some of the online flashing clients which are not free... Try SEUS first as a free option to see if a regular firmware update helps you. If not, you have to use flashing clients (totalgsm for e.g.) or get the phone to service center.

The problem is that the computer does not recognise the phone to flash it.

When I connect the phone to my pc nothing happens other than the red light under the power button turning on.

Flashing is done with turned off phone. And you hold the C button before connecting it to PC with the USB cable... Anyway, do you have flash drivers installed on your pc?

I know the phone needs to be off to flash and yes I have all the drivers installed.

The computer does not recognise the phone is connected either way.

Seem to have fixed the problem.

Took the phone apart, disconnected the screen and keypad and put it all back together and its working again.

Weird, but thanks for all the help.
