Did ne1 guess what the white dot above the right control key functions for???
If you havent noticed, if you text or anything at all, mostly when you text...you would see that the backlight dims and brightens occasionally. then on the standby screen it also happens.
i thought that the phone is faulty and that the backlight is not working properly. however try and cover the white spot with a finger and take it off, try doing this couple of times, you'll see it changes according to the light it is sensing.
that white dot is a sensor which alows the phone to brighten up according to the light around you.
if the room is dark, it dims down so it does nt effect/damage eyes. when in a bright area/outside the scfreen brightens, so you can see the screen better and clearer.
Very useful feature, always had a feeling it is used for something....if anyone finds more hidden features do post on this topic!!!!!

Not really a hidden feature though? Ambient Light Sensors have been in quite a few phones as a power saving device. My old trusty W810i had it.

It is safe to call it a hidden feature... it isnt mentioned in the spec sheet.

The service menu would be a hidden feature. A light sensor that is on the keypad plain as day is not exactly hidden is it? I would call it an additional feature if not mentioned in the spec sheet.
My phone also has keys. If you press them you can type numbers and letters. They are not mentioned in the spec sheet, so are they a hidden feature? It also has a battery cover. Is that a hidden feature?
Some things just don't need pointing out, or are not interesting enough to mention on the spec sheet. Doesn't mean they are super secret though
