Hi, all

The internet access key of my son's K550i mobile keeps incidently pressed while in his pocket therefore costing me money. We tried auto lock key pad, however, didn't brilliantly work!

Any chance i can cancel/change the function of this key (big semicircular key on the left hand side of the handset)?!

Thanks

A

I dont think you can. The only way is to flash it to Walkman firmware. That will replace the internet function with music player.
Correct me if i'm wrong.

I don't know if I'm misunderstanding but shouldn't the automatic keylock take care of that, that is, lock all the keys so they don't get depressed accidentally?
It's not what you do or even how you do it but in what state of mind you do it: Dups! 2009

EMS06, yes, auto lock should do the trick, BUT, what happens is he put it in his pocket and incidently pressed the button before the auto lock is activated. Also the auto lock will not work if you are not on the the main screen!!

Was gonna say that as well. Seems the mobile is branded to your operator. So you could do as the post above you or you can debrand it(if it is).

Hi

If you want the walkman player in the phone it is necessary that you flash the phone. Now, if you want to get rid of the tmobile branding you must flash it with a generic firmware.

how about using T-mobile's website/wapsite as the default homepage? is there still a charge for that? 'coz in my case, accessing my network provider's wapsite is free. that's why i have no problem when using their site as the default.

Why do people always come out with complicated solutions to simple problems? Flash the firmware??

Delete the Internet Settings! He'll never go on again.
