OMG sony is sh!t compared to there babys. Sony is the only one with QVGA video recording LOL LMAO ROTFL LMFAO! For those who prefere keypad over touchscreen, i recomand buying an UIQ phone, and you will never want normal keys again (I am live example). So C905 is lightyears behind. Not to mention that it has a DOLBY CHIP for sound. What can C905 do? take pictures, and thats it. You know that nokia and motorola is next with 8MP... and nokia won't release a 8mp phone without top symbian.. neighter will moto. So SE is out of the game. They're 5th place now, and they plan to buy moto lol.. I ask again:
WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME SE WAS 1st IN PICTURE QUALITY? 3 years ago? Thats what I remember. You SE fanatics expect a miracle from SE or what? I also was a fan of SE... till i bought my k810...
Pity; looks like C905 is born dead.

EDIT: and i still think it uses that same old lame 100 year old 200mhz CPU. No problem, in 2010 they will raise it to 210mhz. Thats enough for SE phones.. Why would you need more? so that programs and games could run smoothly??! no need...

Seoul, 2008-09-04 [09:55] (Korea Newswire)-- LG Electronics (LG), a worldwide technology and design leader in mobile communications, announced that it would launch the LG-KC910, the only 8 megapixel multimedia phone with a full touchscreen interface. The LG-KC910 boasts top-of-the-range camera capabilities and the latest multimedia features, all combined with a 3.0 inch full touchscreen.

“With our new flagship handset, the LG-KC910, we’ve once again combined a high-end camera with top-notch multimedia features and full touchscreen interface to provide the ultimate multimedia experience,” said Dr. Skott Ahn, President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “According to our customers a full touchscreen interface is essential for fully utilizing high-end multimedia features and this is one of many areas where the LG-KC910 excels.”

The LG-KC910 is the perfect successor to the multi-million selling camera phone, LG Viewty. Like its predecessor, which debuted as the slimmest 5 megapixel phone, the LG-KC910 will be the slimmest 8 megapixel handset on the market at just 13.95 mm when released. This phone combines the latest multimedia features and an intuitive user interface evolved far beyond what Viewty offered. With this phone LG has created a multi-sensorial experience like no other, providing enhanced viewing enjoyment, superior sound and better use of touch.

The LG-KC910 leads the industry with its 8 megapixel camera, which is being developed to include Schneider-Kreuznach certified optics, a xenon flash and ISO sensitivity up to 1600. Further strengthening the phone’s camera features are image stabilization, auto-focus, manual focus, Face Tracking, Smile Shot and blink detection. An embedded GPS receiver gives the LG-KC910 the ability to geo-tag photos for later plotting on an interactive map. A variety of creative shot modes, so far only found on standalone digital cameras, will be included.

The handset’s perfect repertoire of high-end multimedia features provides the ultimate multi- sensorial experience. The LG-KC910 is the first handset for the global market to include Dolby Mobile, an integrated suite of audio processing technologies which brings depth and richness as well as clean, powerful bass to the music listening experience.

Video features are just as advanced as audio features. The LG-KC910 can record video from 5fps up to 120fps, which allows it to record in both fast and slow motion. The phone also plays DivX and Xvid movies straight out of the box, without the need for additional encoding.

A 3.0-inch WQVGA full touch LCD screen is the ideal canvas for experiencing and interacting with the LG-KC910’s multimedia features. A customizable interface, with numerous widgets and shortcuts, makes the phone’s myriad features even easier to use.

Rounding out the phone’s comprehensive feature set, are A-GPS enabled navigation, compatibility with the latest 3G HSDPA networks for connections up to 7.2Mbps and Wi-Fi for even faster internet access. The phone also includes a Jogging Buddy program that uses GPS technology to help track workouts, a feature sure to please exercise enthusiasts.

The KC910 will be available for purchase beginning in October. LG will release additional technical specifications and information on the LG-KC910, including details on its comprehensive capabilities and pet name.

Any of you think that it could run with Android software?

Wow! Wonderful in these live photos!
@bigberta: thanks for the links
The guy that has posted these pics says:

“Yeah its still a flash UI but a lot of the UI has changed for the better.
Faster, easier to text and now has auto rotate..”

“yeah I have one.. just got a final sample... very nice... takes brilliant photos.. using it as my primary phone right now.”

“much beter than omnia. The ui on the kc910 is designed for touch input.. omnia is still windows mobile with an overlay that doesn't go deep enough.”

“A few things I have noticed so far:
UI is much quicker than U990
New status bar. tapping the top bar brings down a status bar that shows:
Battery
Memory
Quick access to profiles
Quick access to music
Wifi
Bluetooth
The middle button between the call and end keys gives you access to a favourites menu and also a task menu. you can end tasks from here or end all.
There is a new widget menu which lets you drag and drop widgets onto the desktop. there is one online widget the weather one and the rest are all preset.”

No one can say that the UI has put you of with out first testing and seeing the ui.

I'm seriously interested in the phone at the moment and im a se die hard fan. But at present this has excited me, I cant say the same however for the c905 which is a shame
Any more info on the phone ?

I think LG is onto a winner here.

If it can keep up with me texting, then it has my vote

IT's beautiful, it's powerful, customizeable UI (you can create flash things at home), It's slim, I wonder if it can handle office documents... soon this beauty will be out, and being an LG it shouldn't cost much. So it's this, or the Innov8 for me

Ill guess. If they place it on the sides, the best then, its nokia style. Or if they place it together with the earpiece, like omnia, then its also good coz ull get the best sound while watching movies.

No i900 for me anymore, will definatly go for this instead. Loved my Viewty and the UI of it, but missed the gps.

Can't wait for this to hit the market!

Name a key to this LG KC910 is RENOIR

LG Renoir as part of LG Lineup
The LG Renoir is designed to replace the LG Viewty in the lineup of LG camera phones as well as to serve as the flagship phone for the handset maker. The Viewty impressed camera phone owners when it was released last year but the standards for digital cameras have advanced a lot in that short period of time; the LG Renoir is designed as an upgrade which includes those advances in its design. It has the same features that were appealing to the people who like the Viewty – such as the touchscreen and the video camera features – but it also has more to offer than what the previous LG phones have been capable of due to its freshness in the market.

LG has started to gain a name for itself in the camera phone market. This is because of the company’s focus on making sure to be always up-to-date in terms of the digital camera features that are available on a phone. If an advance is made in digital camera technology, LG looks at how to incorporate that into the design of a cell phone. Moreover, LG has not stuck with just offering high-quality photo-taking abilities but has branched out to also offer high-quality video recording on the company’s camera phones. This is all reflected in the most up-to-date manner possible with the upcoming release of the LG Renoir

Summary of LG KC910 Renoir
The LG Renoir is really leading the way in terms of advanced camera phones entering the market this year. There aren’t too many competitors in terms of an eight megapixel, full-feature camera phone. Add in the fact that the LG Renoir has advanced video-recording features along with multi-media playback features and you’re looking at a phone that can really do it all in this multimedia world. The handset doesn’t scrimp on the basics, though; it can do all of the calling and Internet-based things that you want your mobile phone to be capable of doing. For those people who want a phone that can do a lot and do it well – with a particular emphasis on the camera phone features of the device – this is definitely one of the phones to be eyeing for late 2008.
