I'm going to be spending the next year in America on a study abroad program, and I've decided the cheapest way for me to have a mobile over there, is to get an unlocked phone here and pickup a T-mobile prepaid simcard over there. The only thing is, I want less of a smartphone and just a good quality phone-phone.
Don't need: High MP camera, 3G
Need: Nice UI, stability, MAX cost = £300.
Also with regard to form factor, anything except a slider.
Would prefer but I'm not adverse to other manufacturers. I've been thinking something along the lines of Nokia 6500 classic...
Opinions please

If you want to use 3G in the US, they use different bands, you'll have to get a phone over there...

I would probably buy any of the newer Sony quadband models.
S302 and W302 (identical apart from a rebranding and recolouring exercise between the two, as I understand it), both sound like good candidates and should be out and about by next year, not to mention a fair bit cheaper.
Unless you're looking to pick one up now, which isn't possible yet. Q4 release, apparently. |
