ive got a t68 on orange, and sometimes, for up to 48 hours, the phone has no reception, ie wont make or recieve phone calls or texts, i live in a large urban area and its not my service area thats down as orange have confirmed that, they say its just that ericssons are bad at reception. This has never happened before, but now happens about 3 times a month, no one else i know has got this problem, any ideas?

what firmware version does your phone have? (see the FAQ how you check the fw version) and which hardware version does it have? (look on the label underneath the battery, you will find a number like R2A, R3A or something like that).

when it happens does it display "SOS calls only"? if so, try this:
from main menu select Connect, GSM Networks, New search
and see if it brings up Orange, works for me every time i lose signal on O2

yeah it is... both early firmware and hardware version of T68(m) have problems with reception... you might get some better reception if you bring your phone to a servicepoint and have it upgraded with the latest T68i firmware
