Did you actually look at the photos in this link? They're clearly of a much higher quality than those on the first page of this thread.

Its impossible to tell the pictures quality, as they are only at 800x600 resolution.

Original size is 800*600.It seems all of Virgile's pics are re-sized to 800*600.

here you go again ... another comparison fight

but then I just don't feel nokia 6220 look nice.... picture yes...beat C902 but the outlook ....is like

Hard for me to choose it since a phone to me beside having all this multimedia features will be its look.

Since like it or not phone is meant for you to show your personality these days.... but that Nokia just don;t suit me

i guess from jan 2008 till now...only 6600 fold impressed me on its look but tht too remind me of Motorola v8088.

well i just have one small question...............Can we hope that Shiho will be a REAL Cybershot phone and not just a camera that doesent deserve the name?

And yes I've tested the C902 and the picture quality is not as good as the K850 and the small sensor buttons are really annoying.6220 is a cheaper interface of the N82 ,so i'm not surprised on the fact that is producing better quality photos than the C902.

Picture quality is not just about how many megapixels you have - it's about colour reproduction, contrast, detail, etc.

These photos might only be 800x600 but they are quite obviously far superior to the ones at the start of this thread, i.e. proof that new firmware can make a big difference.

The 6220classic is 15mm, so im also assuming the nokia has a larger/better quality (obviously judging from these pictures) unit

5mm is a lot in a phone, and im sure a better unit would have been used if the c902 were 15mm.

But its not, its 10mm, and now we have this shabby photo quality.

Life goes on...

You got it all wrong. Bad picture is not due to thinness. It is just due to SE wants to maximise profit by including a cheap & crap sensor/lens in the C902 just like they did in all their recent and future phones

you are hillarious
Do you think that you can put a big sensor in a 10 mm phone? if you think so, then there is something wrong with you

I only hope that this model had a problem and they won't release the phone in these conditions because it would be really ridiculous... Some of the photos seem to be worse than with every 1mpx phone...

K770i is the same form factor and thickness as the C902, is a Cybershot, and takes superior pictures to the K800i. FACT.

Thickness has nothing to do with picture quality - technology moves on and things get smaller. Picture quality is also highly-dependent on post-processing which is done by the software.

i think you don't know what you are talking about: k770 is 14 mm thick and it does NOT take better pics than k800 !

there's certain thickness limitation for camera module

the higher the resolution, the thicker.... i am not going to touch the detail

i makes me wonder how to squeeze a 5mpx sensor into 10mm phone.

not surprised something is sacrifies in term of chip set and memory size (as buffer etc etc) in order to get it done

we need to know what Sonyericsson target audience for such product...it could be for the fashion savvy....even you look at sony cybershot...they have the T series , W series, H series, alpha series.... why can't sonyericsson make phone tht come with different camera quality and different target audience. C9xx might suggest you it will offer superd quality in picture but why can't it be a product tht just mean to look cool and offer camera quality tht is good enough.

then it might have other cybershot phone tht look thicker or less appealing but with great camera spec.

but no doubt SE seem to be loosing their steam in making great camera phone. I hope they just don't make a very ugly looking phone....for nokia i think I can only accept n73 or n85 as phone tht look nice.

many new offering just look weird.
