I read somewhere that this phone has or had a problem in which when you answer a call there is a 5 second pause until you or the caller hears anything. Is this true as im thinking of getting one in 2 weeks time? And whats the call clarity like too as im fussy with that? Thanks.
Phone?? What phone??

I've never had that call problem and i've used most the firmware releases, the call quality is surpisingly good i think it's using a bigger better quality ear speaker than alot of other phones, it's a huge differance & improvement to my k800.

The camera is good enough if you're not a picky cameraphone buyer but not as decent as K800's.

I don't know why but nightshots with my C702 just don't compare to my friend's K800. But mine beats his on total-darkness macro shots.

My Low-light pics are still better than my k800's

C702

K800

Even though the K800 had the advange of more light the C702 still beat it.

Cheers for that i will be getting this phone then in 2 weeks on O2 pay and go. I will only pay 100 with my discount and trade in which is nice. I had a play with one in Vodafone shop a play working model its screen is nice and i love the menus. It never had the Voda menus in the store which was good. With regards to call quality it probably uses a stronger speaker cos of thicker coverings with it being splash and dust resistant. Cool.

If your getting it on 02 like i did i should warn you of a few things,
It will have branded software, and annoying limitations like-
you can't disable the shutter sound
theres no wayfinder, google maps, cpw navigator.
And 02 doesn't have the lastest firmware release the lastest 02 firmware has a bug when playing videos & internet is slower than with the lastest unbranded firmware & gps is really slow aswell. The C702 can be unbranded and updated to the latest for free though.

Hey ppl,

Just outta curiosity which would be better. i mean even though vga has 4 times the resolution then qvga.

It would have fewer frames so u would get a choppy video is that right???

Also on a cell phone with qvga resolution would it it make a difference if i were to play a vga or qvga video.

If there would be no signigficant difference would it be safe to assume that the qvga @ 30 fps would be better for viewing on a cell????

seeing what this is capable of and having the ability to change some stuffs such as camdriver, acoustic, etc. i dont see the needing of being torn between a W and this phone. it's said

The resolution and fps of a video are not proportional in any way. SE just seems reluctant to implement VGA video recording in their phones.
Also, there would be no difference between playing a QVGA and a VGA video on a phone, the display of which has a QVGA resolution. But make sure it suports VGA video playback first.

@Tranced: Thanks, i was forgetting that fact, however, the W series still have the SensME function, which seems to be a nice and useful application, and in some cases, the accelerometer, which allows, amongst other things, autorotating the screen...
