Now first off, please don't flame me, I'm not a Nokia supporter, but I realize that the Nokia 3650 will be available soon after the P800 which just got released. I am in the US and these two tri-band solutions are what I am considering (or the Neonode N1, but I dunno when that will be released). I would like to know what the differences between these two phones are, especially in price. I realize both are memory card expandable while the Nokia's initial memory is 4mb vs p800's 12mb. Also the p800 is touchscreen and looks better while the nokia 3650 doesn't look so good. But I hear the 3650 will be a lot cheaper than the P800 and I don't have that much money to spend, I'm a poor college student heh, so let me know your thoughts and comparisons please, you would be of a lot of help, thank you very much.

Depends what you want the phone for.

I want one device that functions as a phone, PDA, MP3 player, additional applications & for games.
For MP3 to be any good we need big expandable memory, this is main weakness as biggest card available to us users at the moment is 16MB. As a bonus, the P800 has a simple camera & plays mp4 files.

The Nokia will be cheaper but does not have as many uses as the P800 and is ugly dog ugly!! Who could carry that about??

The P800 has a much larger screen, both physical dimensions and resolution. Also if the 3650 has the same screen as the 7650 then the P800 has a brighter and better screen. Also the P800 has hand writing recognition which is far superior when entering more text. And with the strange keypad of the 3650 it would get even worse.

The 3650 uses Symbian v6 and the P800 uses symbian v7, which is also a major point when considering both.

Another thing to keep in mind is that the 3650 is a bit larger than the P800.

Both have bluetooth, but I would be surprised if the bluetooth of the Nokia will work as it is supposed to. Nokia has not the best track record when it comes to bluetooth implementations.

As always you get what you pay for. If you want a top quality product you will have to pay the price.

crocker u put it best, u get what u pay for, if the 3650 is half the price, but most of the features, thats not bad, and when i think about it, my cousin in egypt deals with cell phones all the time, he is advising me to get the nokia for one reason, resale value, he says in egypt i can use the phone for months, get bored, and sell it for a profit, however, since ericsson was known there for bad batteries, cheap phones, etc, ppl do not trust SonyEricsson much more, so the resale value is horrible, so i can at least try the 3650 and eventually get a p800 if i want. but u all bring a great point, for me, i really want a touchscreen above all, but if it will cost so much, i can wait, any other good points u all have regarding the two?

The P800 was a great phone. I used it myself for many years. Unfortunately it died after many years of good use. Now I am using a Sony Z2. Go with a Sony Samsung boy. I made the switch myself from an S3 to a Z2.
