Im from Makati, Phils. and Im using Globe as my TelCo, Im using T68 R1B, I have tried to sync using the instructions above the post and still have an error "Sync Interrupted". I have tried to wap dial-up, wap through gprs, using a public gateway and still the problem occurs. My wap connections are all perpectly working when I used them to browse wap pages. My Sync account in Starfish is already working and I have already sync using yahoo and ms outlook.

If there are other Filipinos out there that has succesfully setup this sync feature, please let me know how. Thanks!

Salireza,

You can't use the public gateway with GPRS on the VoiceSream network in the US. Try it with their dialup connection if you're not already.

Dear all,

Do anyone of you know what is the URL for ericsson gateway?

I tried of using the waptunnel.com, no response at all. Try to ping to the waptunnel.com(its IP), always request time-out.

I just wonder how you guys manage to synchonice T68 with the public server.

Ericsson developer's gateway (public, blank username and password) 192.95.167.178

This gateway supports color and can be used with Esato and others.

That's it (the IP address). That's what you enter when you create a new WAP profile.

gomichaelkgo,

you mean the slow 9.6kb pre-gprs connection? if that is what you mean it will take forever to sync

Ca_Abarro:
I am using Globe and can sync thru GPRS with Starfish server without problem.
If you want further infos about the settings for this server, just sign up with Sync Ml group at yahoogroups.com and read the messages there.
An earlier public server is a Magically, Inc. system. Details and set up can be found at http://syncml.fulham.fitworld.com:8888/. This is a public development server and hence the databases are being cleared from time to time. You can apply for an account thru email.

If you have further problems with Globe just send me a private message.

salireza,

The initial sync took about 15 minutes. Now, it takes less than 15 seconds over a non-gprs circuit switched dialup connection.

Do you ever use the circuit switched dialup for surfing wap? It's just as fast, more stable, and you don't get charged for the content. I have 3000 minutes per month, so the fact that it comes out of my minutes doesn't bother me.

From TrueSync technical support:

Hi,

Synchronization of certain fields, which include the mobile phone
field, is an issue that has been brought to our attention and our
development team is currently addressing this issue.

However, I do not have any ETA for a fix or resolution at this time.
Please watch our website for any updates. I do apologize for any
inconvenience.

Thank you,

Success! I've synched with the truesnyc server.

I made a mistake typing in the correct URL paths.

I'm a Globe user using the Globe wap gateway.

But the following fields don't get updated: Title, Mobile, Fax, Other, and the groupings too.

No luck with the Magically Inc./Fitworld server yet.
