My battery still remains full although 2 bars have gone from it,
mindyou ive not been using the phone that much!
I had a call for 30mins Tuesday nite and have been browsing Wi-Fi with it since and sending the occassional text message(s)
but ive been leaving it off all day and turning it on in the evening
I had to recharge it when I updated it as you know too!
battery is pretty good,
alot better then the N80 which is dead after a day of using it as above
I always assumed if you let them go completely flat and recharge them then that would make the battery last longer in terms of life,
I will let it die completely sometimes and recharge it when it gets to the first bar anyway

Just recharge the puppy. It drains battery even listening to music, at least mine does.
But come on now GPS, 2.8" screen, Music, Video, Imaging, TV OUT for pete's sake!!! Oh did I mention it was a phone? This freaking thing is amazing. |

@boba.... yeh mine took about 1.5h to fully charge as well.... i'm currently getting about 2-3 days of normal use out of mine.... a few things can help save battery life:
1. the obvious things like keep bluetooth and wifi searching switched off until u need to use them!
2. pick a theme that uses block colours, pref dark colours like black or royal blue, as this uses less power again.
3. ringtone volume can be lowered to about 3 stops from the maximum and still be very loud but saves a little battery usage when recieving calls or txts.
4. only have vibrate on if u really really need it....
5. have the backlight and screen go off after 1 min or less.
6. and set keypad to lock so u dont press buttons and activate the screen backlight by accident in pocket or bag.
7. use an external BT GPS reciever if u can for GPS as this uses a little less power than the internal one would as it uses GPRS to assist it!
I have done these things above which dont affect the usage of my phone by any large margin yet does extend my battery life by about a whole day which is worth it in my eyes!!!! |

As good as this phone is... I got one two weeks ago, and now considering getting shot of it... I have already gone back to the P990i as I like the touch screen and qwerty keyboard too much..
Battery life on the N95 8GB is dismal.... 1 - 2 days tops.. I get a week out of the 990i
Can't get names and numbers up on the car kit, etc etc.. There are just too many reasons why I'm fed up with it..
I can't wait for the Xperia X1.

i use the preinstalled thm, that blue-white one. finally a simple thm, not those crappy ones only ( i mean the 3 what was n95 too )
i set the brightness on lowest level ( funny, there is no defference at level 1 and 2 )
just wondering, why they give a travle charger with it and not sg normal?

what other charger would still fit n95 8gb u think? imo this travel charger with its 1.5h fully charging time isnt the best. afaik travel chargers are for sos situations, dotn think it will charge the batt in the same way like anormal charger. to fill power a 1200 mah batt in 1.5 h sounds a bit weird for me... way too short time imo

@Boba
I really don't see what the problem is with this charger it is a proper Nokia Charger and supplied in the box brand new with the devcie so is the one Nokia decided was best for it. The technology used in batteries has continued to develop and while we once used to have to charge our devices for hours this can now be done quicker. If you think that everyone complains how quick these batteries go flat being able to fully charge one in only one and half hours must be considered a good thing surely.

good point there marc. i just remember, when i tested e61i and its 1500 mah batt has to be charged in almost 3 h, this is only 300 mah less and takes the hals. anyway, its a good option to have abtt full in 1.5 h, but i would rather wait 1h more for longer standby
