well, its a different case for everyone, for some like me last time they're solved completely, just occasional hiccups here and there, but for some they keep getting problems like those who keep complaining in this thread (lol) but ultimately part of it still depends on luck

even after getting the w910i's mother board replaced from the SE service center the phone is shutting down with the frequency of 4 to 5 times an hour.
getting a SE was a big mistake. and all u people who had criticised me for accusing the phone ...... how the f**k would u feel when u have shelled out 14k for a piece of crap and u know there is no fix.
i say the nokias are far better than the SE craps who just boast on their f**king walkman. ask those stupid morons to produce something that actually works. and just wondering who the f**k awarded it the best phone of the F**king year. |

I'd say the complete opposite, never had anything but trouble with Nokia phones, but never had a single problem with my SE phones, including my W910i, which is crashed about twice in a year, and once was when I dropped it. This board is full of people with Sony phones that work perfectly, so they're obviously doing something right.
Clearly your phone has a problem, so obviously you should be angry, I would be too. But if it's still in warranty Sony have to either fix it, or if there's no fix for that phone, they have to replace it.
I completely understand your anger and frustration, but saying all SE phones are crap just because your W910i is crap is very over the top. |

Debranded mine, and updated to R1FA035.
Can't say i can see major improvmentsz over the O2 R1FA030.
But still, i debranded!

I searched google and found that there's a R1FA037 but I think it is branded or it is available for Russia or something like it.
What's the difference between 037 and 035? Anybody knows if there are any improvements or driver updates within 037? |

Have you tried SEUS??
Xperia Arc LT15a ->> Sandisk 32Gb MicroSD Class 4, Sennheiser CX400-II & MW600 C905 ->> Modded R1FA035 Firmware, 8GB M2, HPM-70 & MPS-75 Visit my blog http://laviedepaulo.blogspot.com/ |

well yeah... I re-insert the battery and suddenly, my phone is detected... am i being lucky or what??
Finally, i ended up cancelling the update from SEUS (i even hadn't started yet), and re-mod my phone... I finally managed to delete unwanted (more like misplaced) files.... so far so good...
phew... |

Hi. I noticed that some of you said that your W910 is fast and/or don't experience intermittent reboots. So can you please post information about your phone so we can compare and with a bit of luck we would discover a good firmware for the W910. There might be a particular firmware which is better who knows?
My phone is sometimes slow and would reboot at least a few times a week.
Firmware: R1FA035
Generic ADRIATIC
CDA: 1201-0083
Production date: 08W22

i bought this phone on saturday and it has rebooted several times already and also stalls/freezes sometimes when in Media menu and i have also seen operation failed when opening two games. i have the r1fa030 version of the software and i tried to update this but my network are currently blocking the later update:( overall it is a lovely handset but has several issues that should only be present in a newly released handset. |

@ greg1991
- In brief, CID is the level of protection (prevents you from patching...). Actually, 52 is the highest CID for A2 phones
Red: means that the phone is intended for consumer purposes.
- For debranding, here you go:

You may need a CDA list to debrand your phone, that determines what customisations and language packs are to be installed.
