well, considering all the bugs found in K850i and in addition, it's a pity the SE engineer can make a better camera protection. imo, K850i isn't ready to be in the market

^^ Or should not be in the market at all. since the supposed K850 successor has been cancelled because of it's delay features a CCD sensor while maintaining the same 5mp resolution

Want so see sample photos from the N82? Go here!

Actually quite good. Look at this for example:

Beats both the N95 and the K850, IMHO. And good enough for posting at full size also, which is something most embarrassed K850 owners would never do...

The above photo is telling me two things:

1. I bought the TyTN II a few weeks ago and promised my wife that I will keep it at least one year. By that time the N82 should be pretty reasonable in price

2. I'm hungry and it's almost lunch time

are you sure K850 is RIP?

Elite? Since when the K850 is elite? It's just a 'nice' java phone and a mediocre camera-phone at best, one task it was meant to do well, it fails at. On the other hand, the 'N series' is on a total different level. Combining the latest and greatest from a S60 smartphone platform, WIFI, GPS and now even a XENON flash, all that in the palm of your hand and about the same size of a regular java SE K850. That my friend is ELITE!

I agree with dogmann - RIP K850i, the little phone that could be ...

I agree with you, when I saw those photos taken with N82, I was amazed, and it's only a proto. I think I can finally replace my i-mobile 902 with it. Flash photos are great, you can only see little traces of oily details, unlike K800/K810, K850 where they completely ruin the whole image, and are also visible when you reduce size. I can see myself in the same situation when I get married insAllah, my wife will have to put up with my tech ''addiction''.

Here is the official Nokia spec ..

http://europe.nokia.com/n82

For me having WiFi swings it, even if the K850i picture quality was the same, plus I have always found the Nokia operating system one of the best.

SE have made a big mistake with just a glass cover over the lens on the K850i which can attract dirt and scratches ...

If Nokia has improved on the in-camera noise reduction and sharpening AND it is true what they are saying about low-light sensitivity then YES I would expect the N82 to kick the K850's buttocks! And in addition to this you have near DVD-quality video recording, Symbian S60 operating system and built-in GPS.

and your battery dies in less than 1 day! looooooool
i don't care if one mobile company gives out a phone which has a 5" scren, 10mpx camera, GPS, Wi-fi... if the battery life is shorter than 1 day!
you have your mobile phone always on the cable!
Ihave SE W850 and i'm listening to the music almost all the time, and my battery life is 2 days, but there is still around 50% of battery whan i give W850 to charge it!
three days for my phone is no problem!!

I don't think SE can keep it going any longer if Nokia keeps producing phones like this. It's slowly chewing away SE's market share...

Maybe they should start adopting the Nokia model, introduce UIQ in to their K, W series phones?

Where did you read that the N82's battery lasts less than a day? Or are you just assuming and telling everyone your assumptions as facts?

The standby time is better with the new N95 firmware.
It still uses alot of battery power when using certain features, like any other phone.
