pfffffff....
I updated my K810i to latest firmware, and now the shortcut system doesn't work no more.
Everything is still correctly installed, but the menu displays the uglies original icons
Any idea?

Solved. While updating, SEUS re-installed in the folder an original menu.ml... Just had to delete it

What about layout.xml ? can we use the same way, just add the shortcut (say it layout.xml.@) to the tpa/system/layout/ and put the real file layout.xml to the usb/other/bla... ? thx b4. |

Welcome to Esato
No one's already claimed that this method works with layout.ml as well ... maybe people have tried but no success...
try to read through pages from the starting post
Have fun...

I have also been using this method to change my menus, and it is great, I just have one question, does this method makes our phones slower.
Nokia 3310->Nokia 2100->Nokia 3100->Sony Ericsson K700i->Sony Ericsson K750i->i-mobile 902->Sony Ericsson K800i->Sony Ericsson T650i->Sony Ericsson C901->Sony Ericsson Elm->iPhone 3GS->iPhone 4s->iPhone 5->iPhone 5s->iPhone 6->iPhone 6s->iPhone 7 Plus |

no way...
but now there is a more simple way and that is PATCHING...there are lots of patches and elfs which allow you to access file system directly from your phone

Long time no see, mate.
XS++ won't work with CID53 phones.
Use this method: http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=192245

ei there mate!
actually i finally flashed my ol buddy K810 to R8BF003...
it went good using JDFlasher any cid.
then patched using the same technique..
then i also found out about OMNIUS... its crazy man!!!
every software is very good to use... especially the latter, coz they have full archives of the firmwares.
whats your current phone now?! happy flashing it?
