Thanks guys! 800$ wow I think I'll be looking at one of the other places you suggested! I cant wait to get this phone! Does anyone know if they support animated themes ? Still Trying to figure out if their is a phone equal to the awesome visuals it has for the walkman displays. Is there one as good or better?

yeah.....visualizations are pretty cool...but they do tend to make the device slow

I had reviewed the W960 too...long time back...just hadn't posted this earlier
here's the mini- review link:

Do let me know what you guys think

The G900 is a much better device, performance wise atleast. Though I still prefer the W960 because of its looks, larger screen, full screen visualizations. I somehow love the jog dial too, that's why can't give up on this phone!

You need to press a little more than other phones i have tried(p1i, g900i) But within a day or two you should get used to it, and have no more problems.

Hey Peter,

first off thanks a lot for your brief review... I'd consider it a good sign that a stray unit is showing up somewhere, but I'd imagine you worked pretty hard to get ahold of it.... wondering how you pull that off

A few questions...
Additionally, another member evaluating a unit for Sony Ericsson (jimster71) said that the device does not support the 'Today!' main screen heirarchy menu for calendar/inbox/task events, and only (and ALWAYS) shows the Walkman screen, even when music is not playing. Wondering if this is the same in your unit? I know on this M600 from the main screen I can say More, Preferences, Today, and opt to HIDE it alltogether --- might this be turned on by default, or is it really just GONE?Thanks so much, hope you can get to at least a few of these points!!!

It can be changed.

Just go to Tools > Control Panel > Device > Standby application and choose between "Walkman" or "Business."

should i buy w960 or wait for w980?

Get the W960.

The design of the W980 just isn't nice plus it's much hyped Clear Bass and Clear Stereo features hardly have any effect on sound quality.

a lot of reviews are saying that the w960i and the w910i are a similar layout do u think thats true i mean with the touch screen its essentially is the w960i the big brother of the w910i

Mate, where are you from? The answer to your questions very much depends on that piece of information.
