Agree... And there are many Nokia phones that built quality is better than SE ones. This is very subjective and even on the same model are some that have better and worst built quality. Guys lets stop with this useless discussions |

maybe , but now is it N95 we speak about.
ok, so you guys cant agree that N95;
have bad batterylife,
bad software (buggy),
feels fairly plastic,
bad design on the slide (cracky) ?????
(that was 4 points of what i said).
if you even cant agree with that (who thousands of people have problems with), i dont really know what to say !

1. have bad batterylife:
I agree it can run out quickly if the phone is used heavily (as it is with many phones), but for me, it runs out as quickly as the battery in my M600i did. I use my phone mainly for text messages, calls (surprise surprise!) and listening to music.
2. bad software
I've not had that problem. I've got a fair amount of software installed on my N95, and it all runs smoothly. Maybe that's because I don't play around with it all the time, I dunno. Heck, I even managed to change the background images in my multimedia menu and they worked! (it's a known glitch in the firmware)
3. feels fairly plastic
True, I'll agree with that. Although my M600 felt plastic also, it wasn't sold for over £500!
4. bad design on the slide (cracky) ????
I can't really comment on that one myself; as I've stated elsewhere, my slider and sound are both fine. Every manufacturer makes some duff models; it's what warranties are for! I'd argue that the K800, K750 and W800 all had badly designed joysticks. Why SE couldn't stick with the D-pad used on the W900 is beyond me. That was an excellent navigational tool.
I hope that was constructive enough. There should be more mature debate on these things, and less childish squabbling, IMO.

Yes i agree with some but even with these negative points i cant see currently any phone on the market better than n95 Im not an N95 fan or owner and never will be cause i dont like slider phones and its size is too big for me. I preffer small candybar phones with good specs, and K850i maybe will be my next choice . Nontheless i have to admit that n95 is a excellent phone.
About software is not only N95... its all symbians! But i believe that by the end of the year with these new versions coming up, most of the problems will be solved. |

I guess the N95 and K850 ONLY have the same cam-pixel (5 MP ) and totally have different specs/functions !

1. Bad battery life? Yes, but as compared to non-smart. As smartphone I would say "acceptable". You can get full 48hrs if you use it moderately with occasional use of wifi/gps. WM/UIQ3 battery life can't do better either.
2. Bad software? NOT true!!!. For my case, I have installed at least 80 symbian apps + 150 java (mostly games), and the phone is still very stable. Since I got my N95 4 months ago, the phone has NOT ONCE crash to the point I have to remove battery. Even self-reboot is very rare. Only niggle is phone do auto-close apps when RAM is low. I would prefer it prompt us for apps to close instead of randomly closing.
3. Feels plastic? I think this is personal opinion. I, for one dont feel it is. The silver top slide (someone said it is made of magnesium metal) looks metallic and the matt feel plastic made it look elegant (unlike some shiny cheap plastic).
4. Slide wobble/creak. Mine dont have any. I bought mine just when it came out. It only has some free play (up/down) when the slide is closed. So I would think it is just a bad batch from some factory (incidentally more people from Europe complains about the wobble than from asia). Anyway, I believe the new batch of phones do not have this problem anymore.

for f**k sake the n95 is big and fat... i agree that it has a better screen, but what do you need a GPS for, if it is useless?? K850i produces better still pictures, but n95 has better camcorder... the musicplayer in k850i is walkman 3.0, and it has shake feature and an accelerometer, the nokia has buttons for music, but the shake feature is better than the buttons. nokia n95 is a smartphone, but if you need a camera, what can you then use a smartphone for? K850i has better battery an all of you know that!!!!!! |

Next year, will be the year where will show what they've got and play some muscle games with nokia and moto. samsung is more or less out of the picture at this point in time.
btw, I can't make up my mind whether it's N95 or K850 that's the best!

For you all who keep arguing about this..
the k850 DOESN'T HAVE 'Walkman 3.0' ....
BUT
IT DOES HAVE ' Media Player v3'
Its basically the same thing but not branded with walkman logos and with holds a few features like extensive equalisers etc...
But please can we stop shouting about it, some people are obviously going to call in Walkman 3 even when they know it isn't walkman branded...but its basically the same so it doesent matter.
On the idea of the shake function, this is something that interests me...
It seems SE have put this 'accelorometer' into all 3 of the new high end phones, sofia, shinobu & Mooi... but it has pin pointed its functions on different phones in different ways...ie... on the k850, SE have specifically made a point about it being able to flip pictures from horizontal to vertical and so forth...
where as in shinobu W910, they have made a point of telling people how it can be used to change tracks etc...
I am wondering if the inclusion of this accelorometer allows all the phones to do all these things...i.e w910 can flip pics, and k850 can change tracks? anybody know?
