It looks like I will keep my K800 as there really isn't anything better on the market right now. The N73 scares me with it's slowness and crashes. Plus, I don't like the fact that the joystick will probably break off. I also don't like the over saturation of colours in the images.

Aslo, I realise the K800 is actually capable of producing some pretty good shots. I should also give credit for what it can do. Just prove that my K800 can take some good shots here are 4 examples I posted in the photo section:

Yep, I agree with the comments about N73. K800 is much better overall than the N73 and even the N95 (whose camera suffers the same problems rasec mentioned about N73.

I feel Nokia use high compression to cover up sensor flaws, where as SE are more honest with their camera drivers but as a result inherant cmos flaws are more evident. But details are more coherant in SE cameras.

I prefer the SE approach.

But sadly Nokia almostly ruined Carl-Zeiss' Reputation from it's sharpening gimmick in it's high end phones(admit it or not) although Sony Cybershots with Carl-Zeiss lenses produces images that are very impressive specifically the F,P,W,R and H series ones

SE never pretended that K800 is the camera with the superior quality..It says that its 3,2 megapixels camera has the best quality among other camera phones! If you want to take it with you in your holidays,it's your choice.Don't complain about the quality then, because it can't be the same as a SONY a100.For sure,it has the best quality among other phones in the resolution of 3.2 mpixels.Anything else is with no point. And if you print photos in 10*15 cm they will be just fine.so,what's the point of complains?

@centur, i didn't understand your comment! Can you explain this?Do you mean that the most we can print in a printer which prints 300 dots per inch is 17,3 * 13 cm?

Yes , with Ifranview open picture and change resolution DPI -> 300 x 300 .
And you see print size from DPI is 17,3 x 13 cm.

Thanks for the explanation Centur! But if the quality is superior(for a camera phone)at 17,3 * 13 cm,imagine how good it is at 10 * 15 cm!I have printed a lot of photos from different situations and they look super!I think that if you know to operate the camera menu and understand how the settings affect the quality, you'll catch great moments!I don't have a digital camera & everywhere i go i take pictures with my K800i!All my friends and relatives have only good words to say about the quality of them..

Only if you use a magnifying glass to look at the photo! I'm printing 5MP snaps on A4 paper and that makes it only 220 DPI. And it still looks marvelous.

The real purpose of the cybershot branding on SE phones is marketing. SE did not expect the sucess of the K750 along with W800,W900,W810 and P990 as the best 2mp camera and in order to continue the standards of high-quality imaging in phones, they further improve their mobile cameras and later on incorporate the logo along with it's proprietary features like autolens cover, sony's long-range xenon flash, menu layout and the best pic and so forth. SonyEricsson started making camphones without marketing gimmick unlike the carl-zeiss lens marketing in nokia N90 that aims to showcase to all mobile-users that a mobile will have a potential to at least par a cheap pocket digital camera. but the luck is vested to be in favor of SEs since K750 that's why we have Cybershot phones to continue the trend that imho is working

Marketing is always the main purpose of branding. We can only hope that occasionally the actual abilities match the branding
