Hi Red Rach,

It most certainly is as that version was released prior to the 6.83 version which now fully supports Vista. So right click the PC suite icon go to PC Suite on the web choose Europe download the latest version straight over the old then choose update phone software and it will download the latest version. But there is no new software on NUS yet only at Nokia Service Centres for non branded phones.

Roughly what will a service center charge to flash the phone for you, and will they change the product code as well or do I have to use nemesis myself (only have a mac would need to find a pc)?
Thanks

service centres should not charge you while the phone is under warranty.

official service centres will not change you rproduct code but (if you can access a pc) its a 5 minute job to download it and do it yourself. I did that and then wen tto carphonewarehouse who happily (presumably unwittingly) flashed the phone to generic for me

@iantaylor...

As the firmware is still goin through testing for the NSU it seems that some nokia service centres dont have the firmware in hand....

A lot of the Nokia Service Centres actually use NSU as their service equipment and this causes the probs u have had lol...

Jus hold patient ppl and it will arrive on NSU.... lol. Wouldnt u rather be able to update with no problems a little later than update and maybe brick ur phone a week ago?

while standing in the nokia service center, and they are not willing to update your n95 to most recent version. just call nokia to put a complain about the employees of that specified service center.

I will hold out until its available on NSU, don't trust my service center to brick my phone. I done used Nemesis a couple of months back with a Nokia E61 from t-mobile, flashed generic 3.06 firmware and the phone runs wicked.

Just select N93, it will automatically detect N95 when you launch NSU.
