@Prom1

The tracpad is fine apart from me struggling with it in that it has a mind of its own at times, tends to be sensitive enough one time then needs a bit of pressure at other times.
As for the build quality, I am comparing it to my sister's Curve 8520 which feels quite solid. The 9700, mine at least, feels like they skimped a bit on the materials used.

Hold out Reg ... your 9100 is not too far off. Increase resolution I think or slightly larger screen with better contrast like the newer BB models. Either that or pickup the 8520.

the trackpad on the 9700 very sensitive - you could try lowering it to 50-60 for either/both Horizontal/Vertical in Options> Screen&keyboard.

My 9700 is solid with no exaggeration, I even dropped it from waist height (5'10) sitting down (on carpet though) and I have a ding in it, but its still solid. Although I would NOT risk dropping it standing up.

Honestly I say exchange it for a BNIB 9700 since its still your first 30days. If you don't need the 3G as of yet, then you could go for the 8520 and still have WiFi.

I'm going to have a custom GreenLantern theme made. Need ideas. The Ring will be custom and hopefully futuristic and better than what the comics, tv, and animated-movie have shown thus far!

Thanks on the trackpad help, Prom1!

It is working more like it now after I decreased its sensitivity slightly. I need to take time and read the manual instead of saying I have used so many phones that they are all similar .

I am going to compare my phone's build quality with a friend's friend and take it from there. I love to have 3G so a phone without it is a no no for me.

I got a better question .... why was the only touchscreen BlackBerry have only 1 3G band, not Triband 3G like the 2 Bolds to be sold on many more carriers as a great alternative to the iPhone?!

Maybe somebody should upload a bbm group {Esato BBM Group}

@Ofiaich,

Sorry don't have an answer for you - I have no real world use for Skype (??) and really don't see its usefulness on a 3G network really, I prefer UMA but I have to wait for my carrier here to support this Bold 9700 (they do sell it, just no support for UMA yet; cod file modification doesn't work ).
