I do think the design isn't too great, but most low end phones aren't very pretty anyway. It certainly looks better than the K310, so at least they are going forward.

Well the K310 looks very similar to the K700 anyway, so for a phone to be based on it, not much can really change.
And I think that this'll have memory expansion. 15MB is far too little, and adding a decent amount of flash memory is too expensive at this price level.

Specs are the same like k320i - only the memory will be increased (12mb for a walkman would be ridiculous)
It will be released in Q1 07 together with roundabout a dozen other phones in different ranges
Announcement will be pretty soon
Unfortunately no walkman-button on the front, but on the left side will be a button
And if you don't like the front, you'll hate the back side:
camera looks like a bullet hole - no silver surroundings as we normally know it from SE
But I think the front looks pretty nice for a lowrange - the huge display glass which also covers the speakers has a nice look

Thanks for that info. Nice rendering though, I couldn't have done any better myself; it gives us a nice look into what it will finally look like.
So the memory will maybe be 128/256MB, no memory expansion then. OK for a low end then, as long as it is less than the W300.

That makes more sense. It is cheaper to do it that way rather than adding non-expandable flash memory to the phone. As I always suspected.

So that means that there isn't a play/pause button anymore? The W900 had one on its d-pad, but this one has a joystick.

Hm taking a second, third or even fourth look there is a slight edge at the left side of the picture which might be the memory slot.

Umm, I wondered where I'd seen this phone before. I had this sneaking suspicion that I'd seen something just like it before...
And here it is. I actually sketched something that has quite a bit of resemblance to the W200 a while back, no kidding. I think SE owes me royalties now
