Hmm .. it seems to me that my T68 ringing volume compared to nokia phones is softer ... For example I can barely hear the phone ring when I am in a busy fast food outlet ... Was wondering if the ericsson service centre can 'tune' the volume louder ... anyone else has this problem ?

I agree fully. Not loud enough. Also, SMS notification should have had the option of assigning a ringtone to it rather than just a beep or tone. Or am I missing something??

I don't agree!

I am tired of hearing ring-siganls everywhere! If you don't want to miss phone-calls, use the vibrator!

I agree with you JHB

You may use both ring tone and vibrator

Hehe, my 8210 had a habbit of vibrating frantically when anyone called. Ment I could hear the vibrations downstairs when the phone was upstairs in my house. Also made for some intresting party tricks

Hey the vibrator mode is a personal decision, the phone should be able to be set louder....It's like having a cd=player that doesn't play loud enough and u say it's ok I have headphones so I can hear ok....YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO HEAR IT RING VERY LOUD IF U WANT! Remember the warning on nokia's when u set it loudest???? that's how a phone should be

I totally agree with you ionion1
It should be up to anyones taste and preference how loud (or soft) you want your ringtone! I used to be a truckdriver when i had an old Ericsson brick GH198 i think, donīt remember.. and i missed half the calls on that bloody thing! Now i have t68i and STILL miss calls.. how hard can it be SE?? Come on!

ThreeX. Quite an old topic... This topic was about the T68 -not T68i. The T68i has imy-ringtones, when T68 just had emy. When writing an imy-ringtone you can set the volume. I had a ringtone called caralarm and it was the loudest ringtone I've ever heard in a cell-phone. Please do a search here and you will find VERY LOUD ringtones for your T68i. Good luck

@ervil
Old or new issue, doesnīt matter, my ears simply donīt hear the ringtones and SMS-alert from SE as good as the Nokia ones.. no matter what i still think all makers should provide signals ranging from "say what" to " Oh my god!" As i said before, i expect to hear my phone when i am at Mickey Dīs or out walking downtown with phone in inner pocket of goose down jacket. Both my Nokia 6210 and 8310 did just that *software in 8310 is another matter*
