hi people i was just wondering which wap that you all use because i ran up 20 quid last month in data charges on my vodafone contract. vodafone have told me that they charge £2.30 a meg and dont do any deals to make things cheaper and ive already used 11 meg this month so i need to find a cheaper provider for my wap usage as im getting an m600 next week and will be using it a lot more. cheers

I don't know if T-mobile is an option in your area, but it's $5.99 per month unlimited usage.

Free wap on o2 has ended. They only do a bundle of 4mb for £5. They do other packages but they are only for business customers.
T-Mobile are the best as far as i am aware.

o2 have like 1MB a month on pay-as-you go(when topup by 10quid or more) - not sure about the contracts though - but as i think dude_se is saying - it might be free (not sure on that one )

as you are in the UK, then if you switch to t-mobile - you can have 'unlimited' web-and-walk on your contract for £7.99 a month extra - which is subject to fair useage so basically its 2GB a month

as for hutch 3 im not too sure what they're internet deals are.

with orange - i think you get 1MB a month free (on payasyougo when you topup by 10quid or more - should be same on contract) then you can buy 4MB for £4 and i think it goes up to 25MB for £16 or something :S

Virgin charges something like a 10th of 1 penny for a page of text and it goes up to a maximum of about 2p if the page has pics, and of course a tad more for videos etc. So yeah...

O2 wap is no longer free on contract or pay as you go as i have found out also. Been stung by the extortionate prices for past two months.

I'm thinking of ending my contract early but don't want to pay the remaining 9 months of my contract off to them. Only other thing is cancel my direct debit so bank can't get money off me.

Looks like T-Mobile is the way forward for me.

if you cancel your direct debit, the line rental ammount owed to o2, will build up on your account, you end up getting disconnected by o2, and they would charge you a bulk sum for your line rental, i.e they will charge you 9 months rental in one bill, if you still fail to pay, they would end up getting westcot or moorcroft collection agency's to write to you, and then you'l end up geting threatend with country court judgements, and your credit file will mess up, since you won't be able to get credit or get mortgages etc, if the ammount owed is not paid to o2.

So i don't think thats a good move. I know it sounds tough the above, but its the truth, in what happens.

Yep definately the downside to it. With all hassle i've had with o2 i'd really love to just stop paying them as well.

Luckily i have a younger brother who wants to take the phone off my hands in a months time when he starts working. So i'll wait until then and then get a new contract with T-Mobile. Just need to see if can get same amount of inclusive call minutes and txts and the web n walk added in, sure i can.

yup thats best thing to do, let your lil bro take over your contract. I am with t mobile right now with my w810i. Iv been with orange, o2, not vodafone tho, and think t mobile have been great, customer service is free to call, online billing etc, can view bills online, good coverage wherever i travel. I dont travel to country sides, or up north to scottish mountains etc, where no coverage is available, so it dont bother me lol, since i am always around the major citys etc. so its all good.
