Hi

There is a peculiar problem in w700i regarding access to certain sites. . . . i am able to open wap.google.com but pages like wap.lasyk.com, wap.sonyericsson.com and a lot of other sites are not comin up. In fact the sites listed in ""

I get the following message "Something is wrong with the page u tried to access, please try another link". I spoke with my service provider also, they say that there is nothing wrong in there end since wap.google.com is coming up . .

what to do . . ?

Have you manually typed the address for the wapsites? If not, try doing that.

This seems to be a serious problem with your firm ware. This may be possible because of more than a specific size of data it cant handle. Check for updated firmware:

I've had problems like that, have you tried using Opera Mini instead to access the websites? Could also be an internet configuration issue.

Things get a little weird with WAP and HTTP mode and what browser you're using on your phone (built in SE browser or Opera Mini). I'd say try chaning the mode from WAP to HTTP.

The #ยง@&% that they are Networks wont easily own up to blocking sites having potential competitive content. Erstwhile Orange (Hutch) I luckily got a print of their internal docu, featuring certain sites they block & the Bullcrap executive is supposed to tell (things similar to what u were told) .. Laysk surely has free content pages.. maybe SE is being blocked too fr da same.. Do try whats been suggested by others here thou
