Probably because it's very difficult to set up. Gmails pop and smtp servers require SSL encryption and use non-standars port numbers. Also, they require certificates that may not be installed on the phone. gmail has a very descriptive help page that describes how to configure various email clients, but the list of wireless units is very small, unfortunately, so you will have to try to follow the instructions for a generic email client. I have tried configuring my K800i for gmail, but so far, the certificates part stops me from sending mails. |
