Can someone post the original K750i:

SPLASH
SHUTDOWN
STARTUP

files? ie. when the phone boots up, shuts down, etc. I'd rather have these on my W800i firmware since the W800 ones take way too long.

Er, may seem like a silly question, but where to find the *.lng and *.t9 files?
Also, is it possible to find/create them in languages other than the standard ones (For example, if I want to add hindi(indian) as a language, can I do so?)?

I also have a question... about the dispdriver0.dat file on our phones.. ie. K750i, W800i. Is it possible for any knowledgeable coders out there to figure out what's inside this file? The reverting contrast problem might be in there somewhere, I'm guessing.

This file is in the same primary folder where the camdriver0.dat is (display subfolder).

People do seem to be going off topic a little, remember that this is a summary thread!

Adding new languages
There are two ways to do this (without flashing or changing CDA, IMEI etc.)
First way.
Add file *.lng for menu language or file *.t9 for writing language to folder fs/tpa/preset/system/language and simultaneously delete from this folder lng.dat è lng.lst. After restart the phone will create these files again and new language will be added.
Remarks. for file *.t9 coincidence of firmware version is unobligatory, for *.lng coincidence is obligatory. For adding *.lng you have to write its name as one of existing but unuseful language and then select this language as phone language. No master reset, no reset settings.
Second way.
Just add (f.e.) he.lng and he.t9 to abovementioned language folder and point your language in customize.xml. Coincidence of firmware version is obligatory. Reset settings is obligatory!
Before any modding please make backup all files in folder fs/tpa/preset/system/language

I downloaded the language files from here:

http://www.se-tool.net/securi[....]ts/scripts_idiomas_V800lng.rar

The files name tells me that the files are for the v800 model.

Will they work on my w800?

I'm only interested to add Spanish to my phone.

If someone has the spanish files for the w800 can they post it?

Thanks in advance.

a) You can expand your SMS Memory:
http://forum.unlock.no/index.[....]10183&st=0&p=55541&#entry55541

1. Browse to the folder /ifs/settings/messaging/ with FAR Manager
2. select pref_store.txt an hit F4
3. Just change "/smsdata" in "/tpa"
4. Save the changes
5. go back to "root" like mb-new description and shutdown the loader
6. Now restart your Phone and be happy

if u missed to backup your sms before, u can revert it back from "/tpa" to "/smsdata".

Then Make a backup. Messages in SMSDATA are not deleted, it was just inaccessible because TPA directory is used.

Hope it can help u recover sms from the original memory

First, you can find any mate with language you need and ask him to copy these files over FAR Plugin. Second, you can download bla-bla_FS.bin (not dvt) from topsony or wotanserver and extract files from it by SEFSTool.exe (look it for in google). Don't forget about f/w version notice. FS.bin file to be downloaded must contain needed language.

Can I change the default T9 (Dictionary) to standard abc? I mean when i restart my phone and go on writing new SMS, i never have to turn off the dictionary.

Is it possible to extract directly from bin file the FS using sefstool.exe or do we have to convert first the bin to raw using main2raw.exe? Because I was trying to do both ways with bin files from TopSony, but I wasn't able (have some errors from sefstool.exe). Though with the file from pappfer.hu (an extension .st2) was working without problems. Unfortunately, there is only EMEA4 available on pappfer...

Remove Operator Name
Open up /tpa/system/layout/layout.xml with F4
Search for the object name="StatusIndication", remove the Settings.../Settings section hit F2 to save and F10 to close. Shutdown the loader and restart the phone. Now you'll see something worse than the Operator name wich is the Image Navigation/Title Small of your theme, all you have to do is remove that image with se theme creator and youll have a brandless stanby screen!
