Lol no i mean he charged a minimum of £10 not the normal 80p per letter incase somthing went wrong. come to think of it i could have just given him the battery cover lol
The black cover ur getting is it just covered in black or is it all black?
Edit: that really dont make any sence lol.
What im asking is once its done will the engraved writing come out black or silver?

Lol good question, i'm hoping silver, or a different shade of black if you know what I mean, if it scratches the finish it'll be visible
I'm deffo doing it on black though, If I come to sell the phone i'll pop the original cover back on, this way when I get my hands on a black 8800 i'm set

Ya silver or a differnt shade of black will look nice.
I should have got a black cover as soon as i got the 8800 and kept the origial cover scratch free.
Where did u get the black cover from? |

Got the battery cover off ebay, should arrive soon
I got a question, when ever I slide the screen back down it asks me to lock the keypad or not, any idea how to get rid of this message? It never came up on the 8800 I had before

Is it a original battery cover?
It could be the automatic keyguard.
When you close the screen does it say Lock on the left key and cancel on the right key? |

Yep the cover is original, was thinking of getting it from cnn.cn but ebay seemed better.
Yep that's the message, just wondering how to turn it off? Doesn't seem to do anything if I lock it or not, can't see a difference

I put automatic keyguard on, but it still gives the message when I close the slide... argh

I was reconsidering, as I was going to sell it to buy a p990i, then the back arrived and theres no way I can sellit as it looks sooooooooo good!
Will post pics once it's done, havent had time to go get it done as I got sooo much coursework
Found out something interesting, the dummy 8800's have the real housings on them, so if your looking to change it, just buy a dummy phone for like £20 off ebay instead of the full housing I got a dummy one in today from merc_man as my 8800 had a problem, and it's all sorted!
Anyone here considered getting a longerlife battery? Apparently there are some on ebay but i haven't checked it out yet.
