If the p990 has that then i have fallen in love with a phone.

The P990 as far as we know has a Philips Nexperia processor.
It's a all-in-one chip, with 3D, audio DSPs, hardware compression/decompression, etc.

wasn't it supposed to have the goforce 4800. can't have the 5500 as it was only announced at GSM on Monday and chips will only be ready by the end of this year.

but no matter. the nexpedia chip is quite capable I believe, but it would be nice though, just imagine the branding op for sony, I got an nvidia chip in my ps3, my laptop, and my phone
Waiting for P1000

With a resolution of 240x320 doesn't matter how good the chip is.
Simply there is not enough screen resolution to show enough detail to make it worth.

Any current owners of P910i should have realise 1 single problem with it, ie, the music player, no doubt is good sounding, but when comes to multitasking, it is a shame to produce so much crackling sound, especially when starting new apps.

Philips Nexperia PNX4008 comes with audio DSP, and hopefully, the P990i can finally be free of this dreaded issue that have plauge all the previous P series of phones for the past 3 years. Anyone with a pre-production P990i can help to verify on this?

I totally agree.I think that they should have made a bigger screen and resolution.

The P990 is way more suitable for gaming because of 3 factors:
- 3D hardware acceleration and audio DSPs
- Standard QVGA screen resolution 320x240, which helps the port of older games
- The fist P series with a programable non removable keyboard, that can in fact be used for games control.
(the P910's keyboard was not accessible by games)

AnotherGuest, the excellent developer has ported in ScummVm to P990i and confirms the QWERTY keyboard works with his emulator
