Again, just a reminder. This thread is not for finding out how to configure or setup your phone for globe's services. The right threads can be found in the GPRS, WAP, Email, MMS forum.

The keyword here is NON-TECHNICAL

In my last bill i was charged for using GPRS outside the globe network... I guess this is for downloading (not surfing) from esato. It's approximately .50 per kilobyte.

We'll see on my next bill if my theory is correct. I surfed a lot this month so I'll se if i get charged.

For the forseeable future, WAP browsing on Globe GPRS is free. The only times when charges apply are when:

-Using phone as a modem for PC/PDA -> P0.50/kb
-Globe XTM -> P1.00 / msg
-Downloading ringtones and images

When you preview an image thumbnail, there is no charge. But once you view the full image, it's as good as sold so be careful!

For GPRS configuration, no need to call Globe CS. Just text 'GO ' to 2951 and you will receive settings OTA. Phone model is T68i, R520, etc. For Nokia, it would be 'Nxxxx' e.g. N6610, etc.

When you save settings, the only time you have to call Globe CS is to have your MMS activated. When I had my MMS activated, I think it only took about 3 hrs.

That SHOULD work, but of course, nothing is 100%... hehehe!

MMS question...

I believe (from experience) that MMS only works with the same phone e.g. t68 to t68, 7210 to 7210, 7650 to 7650. Will a 7210 mms work with the 7650 and vise versa. What about the 7210 with the other colored nokia phones?
