@* hey guys, may charge na raw ang GPRS nung last month pa. I inquire it sa CSR. 15 cents daw per kilobyte?

I don't consider Globe CSRs a reliable source of information when it comes to GPRS and MMS, I doubt they even know what GPRS means.

In my case, GPRS using your phone is still free. As a GPRS modem it's .50 per kbyte.

We appreciate the time you have taken in writing us of your concern.

Please accept our apology for any inconvenience you may have experienced when you called our 24-Hour Call-In Service for assistance. We would like to clarify that the GPRS and MMS features are both available to our Postpaid and Prepaid subscribers. We regret that this was not the information given to you by our Customer Service Staff. Rest assured that this matter has been brought to the attention of the Department Head for handling.

We are pleased to inform you that MMS has already been provided to your Handyphone number 917-2083170. To be able to access this, MMS settings must be properly configured in your Nokia 7650.

With regards to your inability to access your GPRS, may we advise you to change your current IP address to 192.40.100.7 for GPRS access. If after changing this detail, you continue to encounter problems accessing the service, may we refer you to our GlobeQuest through 632.7301357 for an online assistance on the configuration details of your handset.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Charibel C. Rosagas
Globe Telecom Customer Service

<<<<< See? Liar liar. Postpaid lang daw ang MMS. Meron daw MMS ang prepaid. Eh wala naman ah! Tapos I changed the IP Address, pero ayaw pa rin mag work ang GPRS. Stupid Globe. I hate Globe. At least this Charibel girl replied to my email. Buti pa sya, di rude.

Ying, Totoo ba yan? Swerte mo naman! San mo binili prepaid sims mo?

I bought a prepaid sim 2 weeks ago at hub G4. They said the GPRS can be activated within 24 hrs by calling their hotline and request for activation. Ayun after 10 times na follow up, hanggang ngayon wala pa rin akong GPRS!!! Buset na Globe yan! Everytime tatawag ako, all they can say is "Sorry for the inconvenience sir, I will follow up your request for immediate activation." Scripted na ata mga linya nila eh.

Tapos pinuntahan ko ulit G4 hub to complain tapos sabi nung guy... "sir baka may sira SIM nyo"
then I said..."so dapat palitan nyo kasi may sira."

To be true and Globe Explore ko at dalawang ordinary kong GLOBE ay may GPRS. Stick talaga ako sa Globe dahil ito lang ang magandang provider na merong signal dito sa Lugar ko.

@Ying: About prepaid SIMS from Globe being GPRS capable, I think so. I couldn't get my sister's SIM to connect to GPRS a few months back, but now I tried it again when she got her 7650 and it works fine. [addsig]

@

I called CSR this morning. Ano yung sinasabi ng CSR ng GLOBE na ang pwede lang gumamit ng MMS is yung phone na binili sa kanila. Labo ata nun. Im using prepaid.

@calvin, GEMPLUS is the world leader in SmartCard technology. Their products are found in SIM cards, Bank cards (BankCard e-one), Shopping Cards (Rustan's FSP card), Ayala Shopping cards, etc. Most intelligent cards are GEMPLUS.

Dont think so. Kc naginquire ako dati sabi nila Nov paraw nagstart na magcharge for grps and 15 cents daw per 1Kb. Now I get .34 cents na butal sa credit ko. Di ko lang sure kung reliable yung Globe CSR na nakausap ko knowing GLOBE.
