I am not surprised at that price. Great little phone i am using it as my main phone untill the p990 is released then it will be banished to a cupboard. LOL

I've noticed phones come and go and come again as O2 have availability. I've been watching the 8800 and a couple of other phones for the last month.
I guess the latest batch are sold out again which is not surprising at that price

as has been said a couple of times in this thread, there is NO qualification (unless they have changed it somehow in the last month). You simply buy from the student site rather than the normal site
Many of us have done so perfectly successfuly and there is no "prove you are a student" type questions to answer

last time i ordered using the student link, there was no need to provide any sort of proof that you are a student-good job too, my student days ended quite a while ago lol

nope, just pay with a standard visa card etc, dont think they ever cottoned onto the fact that loads of us would use the student section to order

nope. I pay with my own American Express.
I have no idea why they call it "student" when, in fact, everyone can buy from there but my guess is that O2 advertise in student type mags and uni places (whatever they may be) and direct people to that site so they save £20
