@Whizzkid. Sorry, it must have been a reaction to the horrible pictures I seen on that site you posted. I promise I will be more serious from now on.

Do people in Korea eat the dogs because there are so many strays and it it the easiest way to get rid of them?

@786KBR. I couldn't eat a hound.

I can't eat anything that is looking back at me. I feel queasy eating lobster etc.

Thats where you go wrong, i do not consider a human life to be more precious than that of an animal. Both are equal. And what have you done from your part to alleviate poverty? Enjoying spaghetti when people are dying of hunger? I am not saying you should stop enjoying your life thinking about all these evils of the world. But atleast try not to be ignorant and insensitive..

We have to eat meat to survive (imo) if our ancestors didn’t eat meat during the ice ages and that we would not exist. Can you really imaging prehistoric man turning his nose up at a good old piece of meat for some rabbit food.

There is nothing wrong with killing animals for food. ALL carnivorous animals do it and we humans are animals too who are designed to be carnivorous.

IMHO vegetarians let down the human race

@Whizzkid.

I admire you for being a vegetarian but I don't think any less of other people for eating meat/chicken, its their way of life. You have your way of life and other people have theirs.

If humans had not evolved to eat meat then they would certainly have not evolved into the complex creatures they are today, think why you have those sharp canine teeth in your mouth).

Also, if you don't mind I would like you to answer this question.

If you were on a raft in the sea and seen a dog drowning and a human drowning further away, and you definitely only had room on your raft for one of them are you saying you would save the dog and ignore the human because both their lives are of equal in importance?

(I am hungry now with all this talk about food)

I'd save the human (only cos he/she would hopefully have more meat on them, unless it was some big f off dog )

we are omnivorous not just eaters of meat.
if the crops we grew to feed to animals, for meat, were grown for us to eat then we would have more than enough to feed the worlds poor.
we have developed as humans to the point where we don't have to kill animals to survive. we still do it because we like the taste of it.
you can debate whether its right to eat meat but what shouldn't be up for debate it whether it ok to torture an animal. it reflects on us as a race how we treat animals. are we cruel and heartless?

Neither. I just think some folk are hungry and in certain parts of the world a dog is no better than a chicken

@goldenface, nowhere in my posts have i tried to force my opinion on others..i was a non-vegetarian till yesterday.. And i'm sure my life won't take a turn for the worse due to my being a veggie now. The fact is, some innocent creature had to die just because one likes how it tastes! As for the raft question, you have me in a dilemma! But still do note that i'd have equal preference for both "living beings". Hope you can understand me.

We are just creatures on top of the food chain!! If dinosaurs still lived and were on top of the food chain will u say 'how can they be so incsensitive?'

o and I still havent seen the pic, but I can imagine it? You also worried bout how cruel 'they' can be on animals, ofcourse they can! Have you seen how cruel 'they' are on their own species??

thats a loaded question. how about if it was a choice between saving your brother or a stranger. i would pick my brother but that doesn't lessen the value of life the stranger has.

@786, dinosaurs or even lions for that matter eat animals because they have to: Not because they like its taste. It is a known fact that humans can survive without eating meat. So dinosaurs ain't "cruel" in my eyes.

Not at all. But you value your brothers more!

And before I go any further, no I don't agree with eating dogs for tea but I am cutting down on my meat intake.

our ancestors may have eaten meat to survive but now times have changed, we can survive purely on non meat food products. our ancestors used to do a sh*t in the field or in a hole, we dnt do that now do we
