You will need to load a program on it to do that, Go to http://www.xbox-scene.com all the information will be on there., You will be able to play DVD region 1 and 2, VCD's SVCD's, DivX, Xvid and so on,

You can load applications onto the original hard drive. Someod i know that chips them installs some apps and emulators as an extra
