Sean, im gunna have to read the manual cos it doesn't come up if I press that or this lol

Toney, I loved my HTC however it had a poor display I lived with it for 6/7months then I just wanted a better screen,
it also wasn't capable of playing games eg. Angry birds nor could it cope with Live wallpapers
HTC need to do the Wildfire II same size but with the spec of a Desire,
saying that though they have new Core Processor Mobiles being done over the next few months and well imdue a upgrade Aug but if nothing catches my eye then im happy to keep the X10 and just Sim Only till sumat hot comes out
Seriousley I love this X10 the battery is great too ive been caining it all day and its finally just passed out so im gunna go to sleep now and charge her up
X10 is a top phone I seriousley don't understand where people are coming at moaning about stupidness like updates,
2.1 is working great here 2.2.1is alot of pants trust me... seen it usedit hate the new changes to Android market and why the hell would ya wanna use ur own 3g connected to the pc?
mental with a Capital M....
The thing with 2.2 is serious IMO.
It has Flash support, let's you install apps on memory card and let's you uninstall apps from default apps management menu.
It was actually a big leap from 2.1 to 2.2.
Honestly it was nail in the coffin in my case and finally lack of this upgrade was the reason I sold my X10.
I thought if to have Android better have the latest version absolutely. Now I use WP7 device.
P.S. I could compare fresh Android 2.1 on X10 with WP7 performance, and while X10 is worth interest,
Android is choppy and edgy as hell compared to WP7. I was surprised how big the diff was.!

Well, no wonder, if Android were crippled just as WP7 it would be lagless too i believe
No multitasking, copy&paste, USB mass storage and many more makes me wonder if WP7 should be called OS at all... |

I will agree with miss uk. My X10 is one of the better phones i've owned (and as most members will already know i've owned more phones than old Bonovox) and not just out of SE's offerings. I have no issues with the X10 apart from the way the phone charges up (cutting the charge off at 100% then letting the battery drain to 85% before kicking the charging circuit in again) but this is about the only thing. I've never experienced any lag whatsoever apart from Mediascape which I never use. This and the X10 mini pro is the longest i've ever stuck to a phone (x10 mini pro 6 months so far and the x10 4 months so far)
Even if SE actually did release 2.2/2.3 for the x10 there will still be some complete f**ktard moaning and whining cos v3.0 hasn't been released for the phone.

That's no the case. Moaning comes from people, who see that HTC low to middle-end phone realeased in 2009 got 2.2 update just when X10 get's to taste 2.1... And X10 is FLAGSHIP, the best phone in SE sleeve has worse OS than some forgotten HTC phone. This is the problem. Full support for X10 hardware comes with 2.2, so this is more and more tragic, to say that X10 will stay with 2.1 forever.
I like my X10, but it's capable of so much more than SE gives us... When i run custom ROM 2.2, it's wow, this phone ain't as laggy as i thought. Oh and what's that, full flash support, I can view sites i couldn't in 2.1.

I'm actualy very interested in WP7, it seems to correct mistakes made in iOS and Android. I'm loving Android but i realy want to give WP7 a try, HTC Surround being the one i like the most.

My HTC Desire HD is way way faster and has loads of features that murder my X10 thats sitting back in it's box gathering dust.
Also HTC has excellent support and HTC is the most supported by developers, something SE will never see as it's a dead brand with a rubbish reputation and has been for years.

Well bullsh..t mate. WP7 with 35 apps installed and huge amount of data implemented beats pure, just-after-upgrade X10 hands down.
It's not about features, it's about how the OS is optimized. Of course it's to be seen how they will manage with updates.
But yes, WP7 is OS. In some areas quite outstanding.

Well with the old method with task manager unfortunately not.
But it can multitask and it will be improved. Definitely it works with Phone, Music, Browser and push notifications.

Best move I made moving away from SE, should of done it years ago instead of living in hope like most people on this forum just to be disappointed time and time again.
Now I have the latest OS, can use the latest apps, excellent build quality none of that cheap plastic crap, got excellent support as well as excellent features such as Locations and htcsense. Navigation through the phone is way faster and more fluid than the X10.
Liking the camera features such as this in the video for taking self portraits or with several people with automatic capture.

Boots fast as hell also

I've rooted mine so can install custom roms with Rom Manager and Clockworkmod but so far I'm liking the stock HTC Sense and all I have done is got rid of annoying ads in Android apps and games such as Angry birds using Adfree.
Also liking the case I got for it which is a case-mate tough dual case, silicone on the inside and hard case on the outside, it offers really good grip and definitely one of the best out there.

Will get this one also which is another case-mate thats new coming out

Why are you upset that other phones are being discussed and compared to the X10?
It's good debating the pros and cons to find out exactly what is good with actual facts. On xda someone has posted a thread in the Desire HD forum about the SE Arc and theres pages of previous X10 owners giving options and experiences of the X10, the Arc and HTC's.
Here it is

Funny all of them say se is crap and exactly why, no different to what has been said here.
