This is really hard to believe after what we have heard all this time. In case it's true, then I think it's a good move. A lot of people can't afford buying their new flagship.

You bet! I can believe anything now after they confirmed they'd enable multitouch!

Does anyone still think that the earpiece volume will be fixed ever in an update?? I can live with it as it is not too bad but at times depending on the quality of the line in a call it can be hard to hear the other person. I remember Nokia managed to fix a similar issue in the 6300 in an update the volume was louder. So why cannot surely they know of this now?? it's the only real downer about the x10

The earpiece volume is fine, if it's not for you then you have a hardware issue, I can't listen on full volume or my eardrums hurt, I keep it 3 or 4 notches below full volume, I spend most of my days in crowded loud hallways, no issues hearing people.

I'm looking for an app (ideally free) that would allow me to sync Microsoft Outlook (calendar, tasks, contacts etc) and possibly Yahoo Calendar with the Android phone. Is it actually possible to sync all 3 at all? Any recommendation would be greatly appreciated.

What happened with the new Timescape widget? Is it in the 2.1 update?
The best mobile phone brand died with Sony Ericsson's death. Shame on you Sony for killing it! And, of course, for ruining the Xperia brand...

With MyPhoneExplorer 1.8 you can sync with Outlook (calendar, tasks, contacts).
You have to enable USB debugging in your phone.

don't know what you mean by "new" widget... it's still the same as far as i can tell. and yes, it's still there in the 2.1 update.

@doministry to view tasks you have to get a task killer type (I use ES Task Killer) or an OS monitoring app (I use OS Monitor). I haven't killed a task in ages though and only do so when an app hangs when it shouldnt.

They said a new Timescape widget will be presented with the 2.1 update. Screenshot:

I remember they also said that the same update would make the X10 DLNA certified. It looks like we are due another update if they're want to be true to their word.

Oh, btw, I debranded my phone to generic but lost the camera. Looks like this happened to a lot of other peeps too.
