It's the way to go with branded K-Jams

there isn't that much branding with the K-Jam in the first place. No network locks, no design locks, it basically just has a theme and a few strange processor restrictions and lack of updates.
Installing the Qtek rom makes the start up VEEEERY long, but put it this way "me.. the guy who's device used to freeze 3-4 times a day" doesn't restart at all anymore!

I have not been able to download the SBP Pocket PC software after I uninstalled it.
Can I get the trial down load anywhere else?

@Amnesia
I've reinstalled active synch more than 12 times. I get an error pop up box indicating to reconnect device. it synchs for 2 seconds and stops followed by the pop up box.

@REO, have you installed Q-Tek firmware?
If not, I suggest doing that.

@amnesia
I found the problem. I Inadvertantly deleted a file which works with Microsoft Synch. A hard reboot took care of all the original settings and files.
Qtek firmware...... Would it render my device useless if I am locked to Cingular? I've never done a firmware upgrade. I guess I've never thought I needed to. I want to do this. Where do I go?

first of all I dont think Cingular give you anything except for pre-made settings (so you can do it yourself)
Using the unlocked you can unlock your device and CID code so you can install any rom AND any sim card on the phone.
The QTek rom is basically unbranded. It'll make the phone more stable and run faster, HOWEVER start up time will be longer (if you do a soft-reset alot)
Hope that helps.

Is anyone using a registry cleaner?
I have a program I deleted and registry will not go away.
I'll take a look in pocket gear, although I've not seen anything there yet.
Just want my device running at optimum.
