@Fatreg

Yes, EDGE is available on the Cingular network.

@Amnesia

I totally agree with your assesment on the K Jams cosmetics.

The original front looks stealthy IMO.

mmm, i see, but that sounds silly to remove the pics from the website just because its out of stock, i mean on other websites they just add the word "out of stock" next to its product. They shouldnt remove the pics, because some people will just think that they dont sell them anymore.

I'm guessing they dont have a system to block orders, because as they explained to me, people ordered that phone when it was out of stock through the site when it should have been removed in the first place.

Yes Canada & America has had EDGE for over a year now ... long before most brits thought it mattered at all. (Fees & fare rides from EDGE to 3G I'm sure are becoming tier'd in pricing).

@Reo, I've been looking stealthy at the Cingular 8125 for quite some time. The camera quality is nothing on par with the K750, although the DoPod black PPC with 2MP is very comperable. I really like the styling of the 8125 & its a plus for having WiFi but is it 802.11b or g? I've seem conflicting ads from Cingular themselves. Furthermore how is the built-in antenna on that for WiFi?!

I'm just hoping apps for the P990i becomes abundant real FAST.

Got my K-Jam on 30th March. Its certainly better (IMO) than the Atom I had used for a few days. WM2005 and the K-Jam are such great improvements over WM2003 and older devices like the Jam. Thoroughly enjoying my K-Jam.

OS improvements...
1. Permanent storage (contents wont get erased if battery is empty)
2. One handed operation
3. A few tweaks to usability and UI

Hardware improvements...
1. EDGE
2. Slide out keyboard
3. Better camera (though this is not a deal breaker)
4. D-Pad design/usability on the newer devices seem to be better

@ ac,

Fair enough, i will have to look at these things, i had an i-mate jam ages ago and it always used to "jam" (crash) which i eventually got tired of so i got rids of it.

I've got the o2 K-Jam (XDA mini S) which I had a lot of trouble with freezing, slowing down & the alarm not going off.

I over came these problems with installing a different WM5 another forum.

Cleared all the rubbish and fix the bugs.

@Prom1

As I understand from other users in my area either 802.11b or g.

I use b. The reception is awesome and connection is great as well.

I love this device. I can say that my laptop stays on my desk at home, I no longer have the need to lug it around everywhere I go.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a recommended software to minimize apps? I've seen one, however would like a software that some here has actually used.
