I cannot say it's very comfortable to use my T39 that way, because flip opening using one hand becomes a complicated task. Why did they used screws to hold the batt?

Because nothing other would fix the rontcover to the backcover. Both are completely made of Mg. You can compare a bit with R320 Titan - At this handsets it's also of need to use screws to fix the parts.

Solitaire and tetris aren't children games ;) . Isn't the producing process of Mg corpse very costly and complicated? Btw how and where did you get your Hedwig proto?

Indeed. MAybe that's also one thing, why they stoped the development. But, Mg backcover was also used for T28,T29,T39,R520 ...

The working one at ebay.co.uk and my second one (just with test-SW loaded) from a friend (but this one also came from UK).

@amd i would say, t68m with /// fw is better then the cheap copy, t68i, of it. But t39 is a classic, unique handset, so get one asap!

The first unique was T28s - the smallest, the cleverest, most ergonomic, the beautiest mobile phone ever built. Has anybody seen T28 proto? How does it look like?

@ kothor > There was a T28 proto on sale on Ebay a few days ago. In fact only the cover was different, with different colors and patterns.
And about bout the Hedvig's ergonomy : of course, a T39 or T28 used upside down is NOT very ergonomic, it wasn't made for; but it's a way to imagine how you can use a Hedvig model. But I don't owe one, I'm just commenting the pictures of it, so maybe Tigerente can tell us more...
Apple Ericsson would have been better ! T28 WORLD and... T39 again !!! |

As for using upside down T28 is more ergonomic than T39 because of its flip button(that's it: one touch flip opening). Maybe it was designed to use vice-versa ;)... Flip at the top is a great innovation, i can say that could be the way of further ericsson handsets evolution. I remember motorola accompli that has nearly same flip at the top. Just remembered my R380s bug: when i'm opening flip being within the menu it turns 90 degrees sometimes :D

I do missed the flip lock in t39, its a very elegant solution in t28.

S55 and T68 have common platform, but S55 has Java support and T68 doesn't. Why is there no Java in ////// or se fw? @Boba Flip lock was the most broken part in T28. I always push that button when closing my T28's flip, because it will not live long otherwise.

Had never problem with flip lock. Guess many users just opened and closed it for fun and that caused the faulty working.

There is one more problem: when pushing hard "NO" button(usually when switching it on) there is the risk to damage the crystal that's situated just under that button, so T28 is also very tiny phone :D
