just one question.............
DO YOU GUYS THINK, SHOULD FORGOT (dont care of) SUCH A IMPORTANT FEATURE ON THEIR NEWEST FLAGSHIP ???
should be insane to use the 8.1 camera and a mirror or something to make a videocall
If video calling is so important to you, why don't you buy the INNOV8? It has a secondary video call camera on the front!

well look at it from 's point of view:
"If we take off the video call camera we could make phones smaller"
"Don't people use that thing???"
"Well I've done some research, and in UK, the price is too high for people to bother"
"what about other countries??"
"well its pretty much the same everywhere. Also the qulity isn't that great"
"no secondary camera it is then!"

Most of the people here in my country (php) use the videocall camera for self portraits and not for it's designated use. SE cannot use videocall camera for taking self portraits that's why nokia 3g phones become very popular here.
but we can use the videocall camera for mirror thingy - just go to the service settings

Some people like being in arguments just to increase their total post count, and I'm not referring to Marty. Troll-ism is spreading even here? |

The c905 does NOT have a video call camera on the front. End of discussion!
Erik M at the Swedish magazin Mobil (www.mobil.se) has the real deal for long term testing and he says that it doesn't have a video call camera on the front and I belive him. I think everything else points in that direction to. The info on the SE webpage says that it usees the main camera so does the manual.

good luck to 'em.
I post no more than 3-4 posts a day on average yet I'm in the top 10 posters. Why? Because I consistantly post that amount, month in and month out. Yet people who get a rush on trying to increase their post counts always end up getting jack of it after a month or so.

The built-in memory stick reader in the video call mirror comes in handy, in case you forgot the USB cable and need to copy photos to your laptop (and you have a prehistoric laptop that doesn't have Bluetooth).

I'm not that bothered it doesn't have it either. It's just always a shame to see a good idea go to waste like video calling has done.
The fact that it still supports video calling, but uses the rear camera, is fine for me. Although I have used the service a few times in the last 3-4 years (hardly incentive to keep the front-facing camera), I can think of examples where I'd like to show someone video of what I'm looking at - where I am etc.
And at least you can receive video calls from others, even if you choose to use a static image as the one being sent from yourself. And not only can you send stills, but the phone will also send videos from your media library too - making it the quickest way of showing someone a video instantly.
So, it has evolved and people aren't using it for its intended purpose (face to face communication where you must hold the phone up uncomfortably and with the sound blasting out to everyone else around you). That's a common thing, just like SMS was never expected to become as popular as it did and used in the way it did.

neverless....whats the bloody point to have a videocall feature if you dont have a secondary camera who points at you ???? it make no sense.
on k850, c902, etc, you have the choice to change cameras & even change camera-views...it like it suppose to be.
SE can rather throw that crap into the garbage

Cannot ever remember making a single Vidcall, other than to check that it was actually possible to do so, so it's omission (front camera) is no biggie IMO.
Well the days are creeping by, and no sign of this in the shops, the closer it gets to xmas with that still being the case, the less likely this product is likely to do well.
I'm still highly dubious as regards it's bulk and not overly generous screen size, but the proof of the pudding will be ultimately judged on image quality, which should be exceptional!!
