just one question.............
DO YOU GUYS THINK, SHOULD FORGOT (dont care of) SUCH A IMPORTANT FEATURE ON THEIR NEWEST FLAGSHIP ???
should be insane to use the 8.1 camera and a mirror or something to make a videocall

Why is it important? Cause 1% use it on a regular basis?
Just one question..............
Why don't you read the thread before bringing up the same bloody questions over and over again?

I wish you happy videocalling using the light sensor as a camera. When even the actual manual for the phone fails to convince you of the state of this matter, what else is to be done? Let the c905 be released and bring inspiration to other things to discuss... |

This is on all the phones on the website that support face to face video calling:
This does not appear on the C905 page. However, this appears:
No why is that? Because it has no front facing camera!!!!
No where are these reviews you promised? You said EVERY review mentions it. I have not read one single review that mentions it at all, and you haven't even linked to one review yet. Where are they all Plank?
So far your proof is
a) An old spec sheet
b) An old press release
c) Because you say so

No you said I was wrong and every review says so. Now you can't win this argument because you are plain wrong, and you have nothing to back you up, so you try and make me look silly by telling me to calm down. I am very calm.
I'm just sick of the way you charge in and tell everyone they're wrong, you're right and every review says so.
and yes...its a important feature...to say something else its just stupid
And now I'm stupid? Of course I am. Again, because you say so.

well. a review for you is surely a report about something who someone have use....(its same for me to of course....but:
when i said review i also meant other kind of mobile pages with c905 tech info...if you get my point... and there many cellphone-review-companys who say c905 have secondary video camera......ok....(i cant explain perfect in English...thats why i often choose to tell it quick and easy)
i think its terrible if actaully have the main camera as video call camera...the whole point is to have face to face with videocalling.
and yes...its a damn important feature FOR MANY MANY people who buy a 3G-phone...(because they use videocalling very much... at least here in my country)
i dont know about you guys. but i (and many of my friends) use videocalling (most as a fun thing) quite much.. its much more pleasent to also SEE my girlfriend when i speak to her

Personally, I don't really mind that there isn't a video call camera, seeing as through all the handsets i've owned that had one, I have never, ever used them for calls. What i want from a 3G phone is fast internet browsing. Period.
Perhaps its just a UK thing, but when i've ever mentioned it, people go "why would I want to see you when i'm talking to you?" and the networks don't seem to do video call bundles, as they aren't included in available minutes.
So I don't really care if there isn't a video call camera (which IMHO I don't think there is) as i'd rather pay for the features i'd actually use.
I think we'll really just have to wait and see when someone gets their hands on a retail unit.
Its a supurb phone, video call camera or not!

maybe you just cheap...he he (kidding)
i think video calling is great...sometimes i use it several times a day. (have low price for MMS & browsing in my contract)
besides...when made k800 they staked on just video calling more then the old wap-internet....video calling was the new thing then, and many people thought it was cool.

I don't think its ever really caught on here in the UK, probably partly due to the networks not advertising it much. People seem content with MMS messaging.
Not the end of the world if the C905 doesn't have a call cam for me, but for people who do use them, you might have to make some sort of mirror device so you can see the screen whilst using the main cam (i'm sure you could walk around unnoticed like that

For me, a review is a review. Not a spec sheet. Or a press release. You said every review said so, and you were wrong. There is no secondary camera. As we pointed out, it is even in the manual. I've even shown you the link on the official site.
when i said review i also meant other kind of mobile pages with c905 tech info.
When I said 'horse' yesterday, I meant...postbox.
and there many cellphone-review-companys who say c905 have secondary video camera.
Then they are as misinformed as you are.
Video calling has still never caught on worldwide like companies would have liked. You say many, many people, but that is just your opinion. A fact is this:
Why haven’t Video Calls (Mobile Video Telephony) taken off?
haven't overlooked it; they just don't think it's worth it.

video calling has never really taken off at all, and i think its right not to include a camera of the front of the c905. It would be dead wood. Id imagine other manufacturers are considering getting rid of this feature too. . |

Exactly. I think a few more models and manufacturers will follow this trend, at least untill it proves itself more than just a niche market.
It's a shame because I love innovation and new ideas, but it's just not really gone anywhere.
Anyway.........
How about a check? Who's ordered the phone, or thinking about it?

I'm amazed how many posts there are about the video calling when the C902 DOES NOT HAVE A FRONT-FACING CAMERA. Full stop.
Any website that says otherwise is WRONG. Anyone who claims it has one and they've seen or used it, is lying!
I have used video calling a few times, to speak to the wife when she's been away - and to wave and say hello to my nephew. I can certainly live without it because the quality is, well, awful.
Video calling might become more popular if the following happened;
a) Networks charged the same as for a normal voice call.
b) The service was upgraded from the pathetic 64Kbps to 384Kbps or even HSDPA/HSUPA speeds.
c) People were told about the facility (in the UK at least, nobody mentions it anymore).
(And other manufacturers have also dropped the video calling camera for the same reason. Networks aren't making it a requirement now, and it saves money in components and can help reduce the size further)

Most people know there is no front facing camera, but as this thread has proven, even if you give people the black and white facts, some will still say you're wrong.
I'm not that bothered it doesn't have it either. It's just always a shame to see a good idea go to waste like video calling has done.
